A charming hotel with an excellent location few corners from the main square overlooking the St Catalina convent. It has a 2 story terrace with excellent view of the nearby volcanoes as well as the neighboring convent.
Rooms are modern with very comfortable beds. .
We were a smaller group arriving very late around 2 am due to problems with our bus but they were people available at that late hour to help us up with our bags.
After a 2-night-stay we had to leave very early in the morning, before breakfast time. We received our breakfast packed even vegetarians according to their needs.
Reception staff has good attention to details and provides you all information you need regarding the city and places to visit.
I can only recommend this hotel for a stay in Arequipa and definitely we will be back!!!
Thank you

I think this was the best hotel we stayed in, in Peru. The location is awesome. The staff is really nice. The rooftop is great. The wifi service is also good. The breakfast is really tasty. The only downside is the number/placement of power plugs, a power strip would be appreciated.

Room Tip: the higher the better I would assume (but you will have to climb the stairs)

MIRADOR DEL MONASTERIO, Arequipa
Great hotel a short walk from town center. Great beds. Clean, quiet, simple. Great staff. No heat and not needed in Peruvian Summer but in Winter temps get to 0 Celsius (32 F), and don't know how they'd be. Good breakfast. 4/5.

This was home base for two days while in Arequipa. The morning breakfast offerings were simple but enough. Room was clean and comfortable. Staff were always happy to help at any hour. They didn't seem to mind that I was doing some laundry in the bathroom whereas some other hotels in Peru were adamantly against this practice.
Note of interest: I did ask to mail a letter from the Mirador front dest to the US and it was 6 soles, it never arrived at its destination.

The staff at Mirador are so friendly and helpfull and make you feel like a homecoming friend. Always smiling and make you feel like an important person they will do everthing for. The rooms are nice and always clean. Many of them were redecorated with totally new bathrooms. The location is perfect, neighbor to The Monasterio St. Catalina and a short walk from Plaza the Armas. There is also a balcony on top of the building with a marvellous view over the city. Since the hotel is located in the center of the city there is some trafic noise. Personally I get used to that after a short time.I really recomend this hotel if you are visiting Arequipa which is a big city with a lot of things to see and experience
