This is a great experience whether you're interested in high views of Quito or plants of the paramo (high grasslands above the treeline). It can be quite cool and windy so bring a jacket and rain gear in case of sprinkles. The restaurant is ok and it does cost 50 cents to use the bano, so be prepared for that. Ecological changes in vegetation from normal-height trees to eucalyptus and pines, to flowering shrubs with yellow and red flowers, to grasses and flowering herbs will be of interest to many.
