I stayed here once in 2015 and returned this previous visit. It is under renovation and new ownership and while I enjoyed the stay the first time, I LOVED this stay.
The owner was a visible presence and ensured every aspect of our stay was perfect. We checked in close to midnight after traffic from the coast made an 8-hour drive closer to 12-hours. We arrived tired and hungry, arriving with our luggage and pizza. The front desk person whisked us in, got us settled with drinks and silverware and helped us with our luggage to our 3rd floor room.
I cannot say enough how friendly and helpful EVERY staffmember was.
Our room was huge - my husband and I had a king sized bed and our son a twin, and the room still was open and uncramped.
We did not eat at the hotel and cannot attest to their food, but the views were good, and the hotel's charm is unbeatable. They do have private parking if needed. The wifi was strong and reliable, which I needed for work.
The price was incredibly fair, and for the level of attention and service we received, I highly recommend it!
