Would really recommend this very attractive, boutique hotel. We had a family room (a double and two singles) which was perfect for us. It’s in a great location - right by the many bars, restaurants and independent shops of the buzzing Bario Italia, yet in a very peaceful side street. The area feels safe, and the quiet courtyard and luxury bedding ensure a great nights sleep. We found Santiago fun to explore on foot as there are so many green spaces, but also made use of the nearby metro station. The standout of the stay has got to be the staff though - very knowledgeable and accommodating, the provision of maps and tips, loan of a metro card, packing up of breakfast to go etc. all made for a fantastic experience.

We just completed a quick, 2 night stay at Casasur in Santiago in between our visits to Uruguay’s Atlantic coast and the Atacama. Casasur manages to balance perfectly selected and trained hospitality staff with somewhat small rooms, so that room size is dwarfed in the balance. All staff we encountered did everything possible to facilitate a wonderful visit. The 5 room recently restored building converted to (actual) boutique hotel located in a quiet setting on a “dead end” street makes for a neighborhood feel but with easy access to Santiago’s Metro (so superior to NYC’s decaying subway)(wait, who’s “1st world”?) so that travels through Santiago are effortless. Unless corporate familiar chain or superficially luxurious hotel is desired, this can’t be beat!

Being greeted by your first name when you walk in off the street is so incredible! Sara and Camilia are so gracious and helpful! It's very clean, comfortable, offers a delightful breakfast. Small enough so you feel more like a true guest. And the location is excellent - just off the metro and around the corner from 2 streets full of restaurants and bars. Eduardo makes sure he greets each of his guests and runs an excellent hotel.

Room Tip: Not much view but who cares?

The staff meets you at the door, and it is first names from then on--very friendly folks. Ask any question. They will find the answer. The price is higher than we usually pay, but the splurge was worth it. The "Italian" neighborhood is loaded with outside bars and fine restaurants, and it seemed very safe and friendly. Ask Eduardo what restaurants they recommend, and they give you a map, and will tell you about the food, price, and even the owner. Sara and Camilia were delightful, and the breakfast was excellent. Yes, we will return!

Room Tip: Larger rooms are more expensive, as usual.

I stayed with my wife for a weekend and the experience was great! The hotel is very charming, super tidy and clean, very comfortable and close to excellent restaurants. The service is what impresses the most! The whole staff is very welcoming and careful. They were always very helpful and made our weekend incredible! We hope to come back as soon as possible. For those who don't speak Spanish, it's also a great choice, for the team speaks English fluently.
