Came to this small and charming sushi restaurant on a Thursday night at opening time (7pm) for dinner. It filled up quite rapidly after that, as there is seating for 7 inside and a couple of tables outside, with heaters. Many of their offerings have cream cheese and if you've never had sushi with cream cheese before, don't let that put you off - they make a delicious combo! We ordered the saltado (cooked beef) rolls, tuna and salmon sashimi, seared tuna nigiri, salmon and avocado maki and the crab/prawn claws with panko crumbs. It was all delicious but I particularly liked the seared tuna nigiri. I recommend ordering the "chef's suggestions" marked with a star rather than the usual Japanese items like gyoza etc. The restaurant has a lovely warm atmosphere and service was friendly though I think our limited Spanish proved a little challenging at times (they do have an English menu though). Cost-wise it is more expensive than many of the local restaurants but that is fairly typical of good quality sushi and the meal, at 40000 CLP (less than $60 USD), was hardly pricey given the style and quality of food. As it is a small restaurant, it would be prudent to arrive closer to opening time especially if there are more than two of you. I highly recommend Panko if you are wanting a little break from Peruvian/Chilean/Mediterranean style feasts!
