Went here as recommended by a colleague at work
Nice enough Ambience, though a little sterile.. would be nice with little touches like Candles, you can tell its quite a classy place though
Professional service absolutely no issues at all on this
I dont mind paying for excellent tasting food and pay you certainly will do, but then its Singapore and in 'Expatville' Dempsey Hill things tend to be very pricey and a bit cliquely
The prices are about $30-$35 for a basic meal (vegetarian dish) including the standard 10% service charge and GST.
The food quality was poor - some of the ingredients overpowered the dish like Bayleaves and especially Cardimon. I dont understand why restaurants put so much in food that all you tend to taste is Cardimon - its just cooking incompetence in my opinion
I had a vegetarian dish and the wife had a lamb dish. The Vegetarian dish was much better than the lamb dish
Portion sizes were quite small - you could easily finish them (but we didnt finish the Lamb as it wasnt edible due to the Cardimon).. which you cannot say that for a number of Indian places
We had a couple of dishes, rice, Nan and bottle of wine (no starter - was expensive) and the bill was about $200
As stated wouldnt mind if the food was good but it was poor..
Ambience/Place I would give 3.5/5
Food taste 1/5 (The rice/Nan was ok! and thats what the 1 is for)
Food Portion 2.5/5
Overall 2 our of 5 at best
We wont be going back there and wont recommend this to any of our friends in Singapore
