“Nice food nice rocation”
Reviewed 13 July 2012

Just walking distance from hotels in Marina area, convenience location makes crowded restaurant in dinner time especially on weekend, so recommend to make reservation before you go. Food is nice , love pepper crab is , but price is unreasonable.

Try the Black Pepper Crab. Its a bit pricey the outlet at the Esplanade but guess you pay for the location.

“Radically different experiences across different locations”
Reviewed 28 June 2012

I have been to the No Signboard outlet in Geylang more than 10 times, with colleagues & family. I have found that my colleagues visiting from overseas really love the flavours and the experience. The ambience is definitely not fine dining, but the food is superb. Chilly Crab, Black Pepper Crab & Cereal Prawns are my favourite. I have eaten other seafood delicacies as well, but these earlier mentioned ones are very top of mind.
The staff is polite & just a little pushy. The locality is the infamous red-light area of Singapore. However, like all places in Singapore, its clean and disciplined. In and around the restaurent, you do not run the risk of running into the 'ladies of the night'. I have been there a few times with my family. The place fills up on week-days too, so its always better to book a table in advance.

The other extreme was the No Signboard at Esplanade. I went there after a couple of good experiences in the Geylang outlet and was quite disappointed. The first waitress spoke no English and insisted on speaking in Mandarin (or suchlike dialect) with us - a bunch of 5 Indians! The second waitress spoke broken English with a very heavy Chinese accent - so communication was a struggle (to the extent that it whetted our appetite!). Sadly, the waitress (2nd) was very fixated on controlling our diet - so dishes we selected at first were invariably declared unsuitable by her - "Lankan crab is very small, you need Alaskan crab" (which also was the most expensive!). We ended up with Australian crab, which was not bad, but by that time we were already left with a bad taste! A lot of food was left at the end of it all, which was a waste. Speed of response was abysmal. I will never go to this outlet!
