Other reviewers talk about how small the rooms are and you think “yeah, they are used to large rooms - I will be OK”. Seriously - they are telling the absolute truth - I think this room (including the bathroom which is cut out of it) is smaller than my garage and my MGF (a tiny car) doesn’t fit in the garage (hence it is sat in the London rain while I am in Singapore!).

The standard hotel arrangement for the last 30 years has been that you walk into your room and there is a corridor. On one side will be the bathroom carved out of the rectangle, on the opposite wall will be a cupboard, then you walk into the room area where there will be some type of writing desk against one wall, the bed against the other, some room around both sides of the bed and probably a dedicated recess for your luggage. Forget all that. You have a short narrow corridor next to the bathroom (which is the only place you have to put your luggage), no cupboards, then the bed. You can’t walk around the bed - the area is sufficiently small that the bed takes up the whole area. If you want to look in your luggage your partner has to wait in the bathroom or the bed - there is no way around. If you want to look in the fridge or the mirror - same deal. The room is not just small - it is tiny.

The walls are paper thin - I kept asking my wife to switch her phone off vibrate - but it was the room next door! When somebody on either side flushes the toilet or runs the sink / shower it is as if they were doing it in your bathroom. There is also construction work on the property next door meaning that sleep between 9am and 6pm is unlikely (sometimes from about 7am)

The bathroom is tiny, but modern and clean. The shower has great pressure but there were only two towels provided, my wife would have liked a towel to dry her hair and there was no hand towel. The sink is very small, but adequate and the toilet is a toilet. There is no lock on the bathroom door, but if two people are staying in a room this small and they aren’t already familiar with all aspects of their partner, a lock isn’t going to help that!

Staff were averagely friendly and the housekeeping staff did a fair job given the incredibly confined quarters

Given the location, this is a cheap hotel (It’s cheap because the room is half the size of the smallest room I have ever seen before). Singapore is an expensive city in general. If you are only visiting for a few days why not spend your money on the sights and sounds of the city. Sure, the hotel doesn't offer breakfast, but in under 10 minutes walk you have a hundred different options from western favorites, to local asian options.

Again the location - this is a pretty cool area. I don't know Singapore very well, but the cafes, restaurants and bars local to us were all mostly local hangouts. This being Singapore, local doesn’t mean one particular race - this is a mixed city so a mixed clientele and mixed foods.

Unfortunately the last night killed it for us. A local family arrived at around 12.30pm with what I am going to guess was 5 adults and 2 young kids. When they first arrived there was lots of high volume conversation which travelled straight through the thin walls and immediately woke us and kept us awake. We tried to be considerate - they had travelled with kids, let them settle. It didn't work - they had a number of rooms and had locked the doors open so they could open them and let them slam but not close which they did repeatedly, they also
continued to talk at high volume until the younger child started to cry - they then took him / her out into the corridor to try to pacify them. At this point several other guests asked them to keep quiet, so they reverted to moving between slammed doors with the crying child. I think we eventually drifted off to sleep at about 3.30am for a 6am alarm.

This last night stayed entirely destroyed my opinion of the hotel, but on the bright side it does allow me to leave a more balanced review. Paper thin walls and doors can work when everyone around is considerate - but you shouldn't build a hotel in the expectation that only considerate guests will stay. Taxis are cheap in Singapore - stay a bit further out in a hotel where you have room to breathe and the walls aren’t made of paper.

Room Tip: Dont stay here if you want to sleep

This hotel is located at 1 km away of Farrer Park Station, City Square Mall and the popular 24-hour Mustafa Shopping Centre. The Sentosa is within 8 km away while Changi International Airport is 14 km away. Its very clean and boutique type hotel having carpeted floors. They provided an electric kettle and personal safe. The Cooling system and WIFI were much satisfactory. Very nice hotel for the price. Recommended.

We stayed 3 nights in July 2017 in double room n.322. It was very small (we already read about this, so no surprise!) but everything is functional, good mattress, good quality sheets and towels. In the fridge there were 2 packs of Oreo, 1 coke and 1 complimentary tea (supplied only at first day) + 2 bottles of water. Bathroom was small, too, but nice. We appreciated that the shower didn't wet the floor and that the sink was outside bathroom. Everything was clean. There was a very large safety box and wifi was ok.
Location is very good, Lavender metro station (where there is a small but good food court) is 10 minutes away, Fairprice market is along the way from metro to hotel, bus stop on Jalan Besar is very close.
This hotel is not recommended for people with mobility difficulties and if you travel with more than one large suitcase due to the difficulty in storing it and opening it, but otherwise it's ok and cheap compared to other Singapore hotels.

I think the hotel was comfortable but Im so sick of hotels having large fish in a too small aquarium. It is not nice looking and not nice to the animals having to live their entire lives there. I would come back otherwise, because it was good for the money we payed.

I cannot imagine anyone enjoying this "boutique" hotel. The room was extremely small. Very paper thin walls, that you can hear full conversations with your neighbours and noisy people in the corridors until very late and again very early. When next door used their hairdryer it sounded like a noisy strimmer. The sheets on the bed were full of holes. We were booked to stay 2 nights by a cruise travel agency. After 1 night we checked out and paid for an excellent hotel. As the hotel was booked as part of a package we had no idea on cost but cannot imagine it was much.

Room Tip: No good rooms.
