Stayed for over for 2 stays in April, 2012. We had a trip to Indonesia from Singapore Had a corporate room

Good:
Staff lovely and helpful;
Early arrival and room was ready (travel agent did this I think);
Bed was comfortable;
Beer downstairs was cold;
Pool, though not large, it did the job and had a great view,
Tea and coffee making facilities in the room which was great;
Room was nice;
Breakfast was great;
Location was terrific, could walk everywhere,
Lots of places to eat and drink around the area, Raffles city shopping complex ( and food hall down stairs), Chjimes complex ( has live music some nights), Bugis road markets and shopping mall ( and food hall particularly the Chinese steam dumpling place)
Stored our luggage for a week whilst travelling in Indonesia)
Late flight out to Oz, was allowed to use the pool shower to freshen up and change for the flight

Bad.

The noise from showers and toilets flushing next door and above was distracting.
The room above us kept on banging chairs, so sound does travel a lot.
The closing of the room doors echoes a lot

Recommendation: Great, would stay there again but would have the top floor due to noise.

Room Tip: Stay on top floor due to some noise

For the amount of money we paid for this hotel (S$900 for two nights) I had expected more of this hotel. The rooms were large and nicely appointed, however this place lacked any wow factor.

The view from my room was of the back end of restaurants in a neighbouring laneway, which meant that we kept the blinds closed most of the time. The hotel room furnishings were what you would expect of any five star hotel, but nothing exceptional.

The infinity pool was small and unspectacular, and closed at 6pm which we found really inconvenient. The breakfast buffet was basic, and we found that on both mornings we had a second breakfast outside the hotel. Service from hotel staff was probably the highlight.

In short I beleive you can get better value elsewhere, and we wished we had stayed at the Marina Bay Sands instead. This is an old building tarted up with new furnishings to create a "boutique" hotel, but lacks the polish to justify the price.

Room Tip: Try to get a room on the Seah St side.

After a red-eye flight from Europe, I was relieved to arrive at Naumi at around 8 am. The staff kindly checked for an available room for early check-in. They were able to upgrade me to a suite, which was nice, but I had to pay an extra half-day fee for early check-in. This surprised me a little, since I have not been charged such a fee in the past if a room is available early.

The lobby is indeed small, but very pleasant. Breakfast was tasty, although sometimes the hot food options ran out and they also ran out of drinking glasses?! Service is still a little spotty, it seemed there was no system to make sure that all guests were asked about a beverage and eggs. But they were always responsive if approached.

The suite was very comfortable and large for being in the middle of the city. The bathroom was HUGE, even bigger than necessary. The bed was very comfortable. Air conditioning was a bit unresponsive, leaving me chilled after walking in from the very warm temperatures outside.

The pool was really nice, water was the perfect temperature and great views.

Dear Hawaiienne,
Thank you for taking the time to write us a review.
We've noted your concern about the early arrival charge and would like to clarify - Our standard check-in time is 2pm and any early arrival rooms are subject to availability. For guaranteed early check-ins, we charge a nominal fee, especially since we were experiencing high occupancy on the day you arrived.
On another note, our respective departments will make a note to brush up on service during breakfast.
Thank you again for your feedback and we're glad that you enjoyed your suite upgrade. Hope you'll be back again soon!

Cheers,
Stephanie

We stayed here for one night before flying home. Check in was efficient, we asked to extend our stay during the next day due to a late flight and they offered every assistance to make this possible. The room was quirky, comfortable and spotless. The bed was fantastically comfortable, the Molton Brown toiletries were a treat and free wifi was good. The pool was a good place to while away some time and they do great club sandwiches. We spent some of our extended stay in a suite, WOW, it was great, steam bath, huge tv's a kitchen area, large sofa, altogether a very luxurious place to be.

The Naumi is convenient for most things in the city, nowhere is very far away, staff were extremely accomodating and friendly. The staff were also very honest, I left my expensive camera in a wardrobe when we exchanged rooms and a cleaner found it and alerted staff so that it could be returned to me. Lots of places would have denied all knowledge, so thanks again Naumi!

Beautiful little hotel with a vertical garden outside and lots of tiny details which are fun for the experienced traveller, such as the tiny handle to open the sliding door to close off the bathroom, and the lovely moulded sun-lounges by the swimming pool. The breakfast was wonderful (porridge!) and the dearest fruit salad with tinned lychees (yum!) combined with tiny diced fresh fruit. Strangely, nobody seems to eat there for lunch or dinner, but that is possibly because Seah STreet is full of cheap Singaporean eating places (some with added MSG, so look out!) Very high quality teabags are provided in the room.
