Singapore = cultural diversity, and the great thing is all these cultures can be seen in a small area. Turn left on Waterloo street and you will first see a chinese Buddhist temple and then this Sri Krishnan temple, a fine example of South Indian temple architecture. Definitely worth a visit.

This temple is beautifully decorated. It is only a walking distance from Bugis Junction and Bugis MRT. Next to the temple is a Chinese Temple. This temple is not so crowded during the weekdays.

Located at Waterloo street, Sri Krishnan temple is unique in a way in which it was built. This temple differs from other temples in Singapore as the stones were taken from divine places in Nepal and represents the divine magnanimity!. For Krishna devotees , this place is an absolute treat! P.S. I’ve noticed this temple is just 3 mins walk from Little India MRT ( towards REX cinemas).

We had every intention of visiting this Temple, but there was a lady outside almost pushing people through the entrance, she was so determined everyone should see it! Have to say it was worth visiting, very charming and beautifully decorated. It was interesting to watch devotees bringing offering to the shrines and the pujari leading the devotion. I always find Hindu temples very spiritual places to visit and this one was no exception.

This is a beautiful and colorful little temple.
While the interiors of the temple are lovely, the colorful statue outside make it really shine.
The statues are of different figures, each different from the other.
Recommended for a couple of minutes visit.

A pretty temple in the middle of Singapore. If you're walking nearby then it's worth a visit. I wouldn't necessarily go out of my way to find though.

Take a copy of your Bhagavat Gita and wear a nice fresh cotton sari or dhoti to this beautiful temple. It has the best marble statues and sculptures of Narasimha and MahaVisnu adorning the sanctum Santorum of lord Krishna. It also has a standalone Surya Bhagavan vigraham for surya devotees. Andal and her dad are on the temple perimeter. So is Ramanujan - the great Vishnu Saint/scholar. It's the intimacy and beauty of the temple that makes it worth visiting esp for the morning Pujas. Buy a lotus from the vendors outside and say a prayer. It's a very moving experience for devotees seeking peace of mind or a shot of inspiration. Or both.
