The Maritime Experimental museum at Sentosa in Singapore is a unique and interesting place for all, especially kids to learn about maritime related history, geography and science. Its really neat and well designed. There are things to touch and feel. Enjoyed trying out the various knots. The Typhoon theatre inside the museum was superb. Loved the concept and its execution. It actually deported us into the time and situation of olden times. must visit attraction for all age groups !
We had some extra tokens hence visited this place. We finished seeing it in 10 mins .. Some people may find it interesting but wasn't our cup of tea. It has a strong jute smell which I didn't like :(
Was very impressed with the amount of information and detail that has gone into this museum. It really paints a wonderful picture of the journey of explores across Asia and Europe via the sea. I would also recommend doing the Typhoon Theater it’s only a few dollars but it’s a fun little experience.
This was a great way to introduce the children to history and science at the same time while not boring them with stuff they don’t like. Really enjoyed it especially the Jewel of Muscat actual ship there.
A great place for families, young and adults. Very interesting history and galleries pictures and stories are well depicted inside with beautiful enactment of olden days history and many interesting display of the Maritime trade etc etc. Very educational.
The museum itself is just average. The displays are replicas, not real antiques. However, I think this is a good place to avoid the heat & humid weather of Singapore because it's indoor & fully air-conditioned.
I only recommend th Thyphoon Theatre, which is a very interesting way to enter the SEA Aquarium. I don't want to spoil the surprise, u should experience it urself 😊
