Based on the prize advertized (Wotif), I did not expect what I got in the end. Granted, the hotel was fully booked, which is why I got a free upgrade. I do therefore not know what the room I booked would have been like but I doubt it would have been much less. The room I had was spacious with a modern outfit and the granite bathroom had two sinks, a nice tub and a shower. All the staff I dealt with were very friendly and went out of their way to help. I had dinner at the Central Park Cafe, which offers a rather wide and diversified selection of decent quality food although the local fare seems (naturally) the most authentic. Breakfast was included. The buffet has a nice spread and the quality of what I had (fruit and bakery products) was impeccable. If you are looking for something that in many ways is 5-Star (certainly if you are visiting from outside Asia) but comes at a price of a 4-Star or even less, this hotel is highly recommendable.

The hotel is good, located in strategic location, next to the embassy buildings. Also near to a shooping mall (ambassador), take you about 10 minutes walk distance. A hypermarket carrfour at basement level. Can get a lot of things to buy, restaurant at the mall.

The room service is offered at reasonable price.
Good breakfast with wide choice.
Swimming pool and gym available.
I obtained free wifi at room during my stay, upon request.

Construction work in progress in front of the hotel, bad traffic jam everyday.

Room Tip: Also near to a shooping mall (ambassador), take you about 10 minutes walk distance. A hypermarket carrfour at basement level. Can get a lot of things to buy, restaurant at the mall.

moved out of JW Marriott to the Manhattan to save some money on a longer than anticipated stay, thought price was too good to be true.....it was.
chose a suite, the room kept getting a really bad smell (from AC I think) that was somewhere between Durian fruit and pipe tobacco (non-smoking floor). they staff were very nice, friendly and did all they could to accommodate.
Just not what it appears to be...

Given the frenetic rhythm of Jakarta, I felt completely comfortable and removed from the city's chaos when I stayed at the Manhattan Hotel for the first couple nights of my three-month stint in Indonesia. The value for the money is exceptional; breakfast buffet is delightful, multi-country, and abundant, and the rooms are very-well appointed with a luxurious, executive feel. Comfortable beds, high ceilings, quiet air conditioning, and gigantic, marble bathrooms.

Wi-fi and LAN internet connections are available at a cost in-room (my only gripe), but free wi-fi is available on the lobby and mezzanine levels of the hotel. The pool offers a nice view of the city, and the fitness space was suitable. All staff are exceptionally helpful. Taxis are the only way to get around due to the highway construction outside of the hotel (no noise), but at USD 2-4 per ride within the city, it's totally doable for poor grad students like me. Mall Ambassador is a harrowing 1/2 km walk away from the hotel, and all the fantastic restaurants, clubs, and high-end hotels of Mega Kuningan 1 km away on the other side of the highway. Don't question it - just stay here! Use Agoda for the best price.

Room Tip: Go high! The views of the city are worth it.

36 storey tower hotel close to major shopping centers. We were upgraded to the Manhattan Suite which had a lovely view of the city. The rooms was very large with modern decor and all the expected comfort. About an hours drive from the Soekerno Hatta airport and just 5 minutes walk from Ambassador Mall. The mall had a nice food court. Very safe area as it was in the diplomatic enclave. The hotel had a bar lounge in the lobby and also an in-house Indian restuarent (though didn't had food during our stay of two nights). Seemed like more of a business hotel.
