“narrow classic room + no window”
Reviewed 9 June 2011

i just had a conference in amos cozy hotel for 3 days. although the hotel is officialy classified as a 4 stars hotel, i would say it looks more as a good 3 stars hotel. the classic room is very narrow. they place a large mirror on the wall to give the illusion that the room is wider than it is. but it still feels narrow. for claustrophobic, beware, the classic room has NO window.

by the way, talking about the food, they had such delicious cakes ever! :)

We arrived as the speakers for a conference, there were to be two rooms reserved as part of the package. Instead they had us in a 'family suite' which meant two businessmen were to share a bath, etc.

We asked for options and understanding they had made a mistake they offered us two 'junior suites' at the same price - so we thought.

The next day they demanded the full rate for the two suites - above the price for the family suite. The head of the conference committee was essentially held hostage for over two hours until she paid the difference. She was in tears and was held in the hotel by the staff - refusing to let her go.

We had, unfortunately left by then so could not directly intercede, but we asked that she be allowed to leave and that we would rectify the situation on our return to the hotel that evening.

On our return we found that they had indeed forced the head of the committee to pay the up-charge before she was allowed to leave. When we confronted the manager he assured us it was a mistake and that a letter of apology and a refund would be forth coming the next morning.

One week on and still nothing.

I have NEVER seen a worse treatment of clients at a hotel - please realize that we rented a large conference facility, fed the attendees, and had many participants stay at the hotel, and they still forced us to pay for there mix up in assigning rooms.
