Description: Merica, pronounced mare-rich-e-ah, the Indonesian word for spice, particularly used for all types of the region’s favourite vegetable: the honourable and revered pepper. Our signature restaurant, Merica is at the heart of our 103-hectare resort. This main gathering place offers a welcoming front bar, as well as private or casual dining settings, including cosy pavilions on our Koi ponds. At Merica, guests dine overlooking the Indian Ocean, the manicured gardens of the cliff lawn, award-winning Greg Norman golf course and the Bali’s iconic Tanah Lot temple. Chef Bradley Froehlich and his culinary members serve timeless Pan Asian and Pacific Rim cuisine popular in the region, with a Balinese contemporary flair.Merica is also the centre stage for our bountiful breakfast buffet, served from 6:00 am to 10:00 am daily. Indulge in a regional selection of Asian and European breakfast specialties served with freshly squeezed local juices, herbal drinks and freshly made Javanese and Balinese mountain ground coffee.Merica offers an inviting range of regional culinary favourites served in an à la carte for lunch and dinner. While the place has wonderful sunset views, the cocktails from the bar took around 30 mins and were just ok, but not at the price, the chicken was over fried. Baby guling for 2 to share was just untasty: over fried ribs, sausages with bad smell. Starter with mango and oyster mushrooms was the only ok.

This is the breakfast restaurant for the Pan Pacific Nirwana Bali resort. A wide selection of Asian and Western dishes available. The egg station is very efficient. Staff are extremely helpful and friendly. If you are not pressed for time, you can easily spend several hours enjoying the food and coffee as you wake up to a new day. The a la carte dinner menu offers Indonesian style cooking. Again there is a good selection to choose from. We ate here a couple of times during our weeklong stay at the resort and found no faults except unfortunately the dreaded mosquitos after dark. Staff do provide insect repellant. Definitely a place to return to before the resort closes.

We visited the 'merica' restaurant with my family. Kids meals were reasonable. My partner and I ordered the suckling pig. What came out was a selection of tough and tasteless pork cuts accompanied by a broth that tasted like the chicken sachet you get from a packet of two minute noodles. Really dissapointing and overpriced.

Enjoyed every morning at this iconic location which set amongst the rolling golf fairways, palm tree littered coastline and not to forget the Tanah Lot temple. The food offered here caters for west and east taste buds. The fruit is freshly prepared and a tropical experience in your mouth! High quality food, dining and service with a smile.

We will be back!!

The food was well presented and the taste was great. Although it was a bit pricey, it was overall a great dining experience with great view.
