Had a really nice quiet dinner here at the main dining area of the Pan Pacific Nirwana Bali Resort.

The food was good, the staff were attentive and neither were they overly intrusive and the atmosphere in Merica was wonderful.

Prices were quite high but we were having dinner at the hotel so I guess it is to be expected.

Thank God for the amazing view and the kind staff!
a friend and I were in the Tanah Lot area when suddenly we felt like having late lunch with a view. I googled Pan Pacific Tanah Lot and originally I wanted to eat at their Drift Wood Restaurant which serves western food, but due to the unbearable heat, we moved to Merica Restaurant. It was 3.30pm so yeah, super late for lunch, but they were still open for lunch. We were the only guests there. We were seated at the end gazebo which is a fantastic spot, with Tanah Lot Temple and Golf Course right in front of us! a view to die for! We ordered varieties of dishes. Starting with their Lobster Spinach Ravioli as an appetizer. a blend of Balinese and Italian that dont mix that well. Not too impressive but eatable.
Now lets talk about the mains. We ordered Bamboo Lobster Curry, BBQ Pork ribs, Merica Nasi Goreng Ayam, Bouillabaisse, with a side of Ceremonial Yellow Rice.
I have eaten at numerous restaurants in 5 star establishments, and these dishes disappoint me on so many levels. The ribs would've been better if they came hot from the grill, however this looks like its been reheated in a microwave. Bamboo Lobster Curry is plain. Bouillabaisse is lacking flavors as well. Poor Lobster. could've been cooked better. The nasi goreng was meh. The yellow rice tastes like rice, with turmeric and salt without any other essential ingredients that the Balinese use in their original ceremonial rice.

Now on to desserts. We ordered Balinese Trifle, Millefeuille, and Valronha Chocolate Creme Brulee. we quite enjoyed them! Then we ordered a dessert cocktail, with coconut cream, mango, passion fruit and Balinese vanilla with Myers rum. Not very good.

I wish the Pan Pacific management will follow up on these issues. It is sad that the nicely laid out restaurant with one of the greatest views in Bali has food lacking quality and taste.

At least the view keeps us happy!

We stayed at the Pan Pacific and had numerous dinners and breakfasts here.

Breakfast was great and a lot of choices to be had. The egg stations were fabulous and whatever egg you wanted you got.

We loved the street food night they had. Vietnamese, Malaysian, Indonesia and Cantonese. Delicious.

The view from the outside deck is outstanding and the staff are amazing.

We ate here numerous times during our stay at Pan Pacific Nirwana Bali and found this to be our favourite restaurant at the resort. The food was absolutely spectacular with a mix of typical Balinese cuisine with a modern twist. An absolute must if you are staying at the resort

The view here is to die for, but if there was no view would you dine here? I think not, the food is OK without being anything above average. The staff seem OK, not that engaging. At breakfast time it is like a food hall, too many people, too little care.
