Hotel was very modern and clean. Service was exceptional, any problems which arose were handled quickly and well. The FO VIP Manager, Emanuela, was particular excellent and assisted with any questions or issues I had. Will definitely stay again when I return for business. The only improvement I would suggest would be to the internet speed, it left a little to be desired.

Really lacking in the little things that make this price-point worth it. It is gaudy in a very chinese-luxury way, focused more on the style of posh than the substance, which is unusualy for Western chains in China at the high end of the market.

Nothing glaringly wrong, but so many little things that add up to a disappointing experience.

1. Insufficiently hot water - they have the water heaters turned down, presumably to save money, allowing only for lukewarm showers/baths
2. Sub-par maintenance on rooms and facilities. Moldy cracking caulk in the bathroom, damaged tilework on the balconies, etc. Faint whiffs of sewer gas from the toilet. Nothing claring, but generally gives it a run-down feeling when.
3. No government rate, if that is your thing. Most of these chains have a negotiated rate with embassies, this one does not.
4. The entire time I sat at the rather expensive breakfast buffet (which was not included in the room), a sever never even came into our area. Finally, I went a stole a pot of tea from the prep area myself, and shared it with my fellow disgruntled customers. The stations at the very fancy buffet were largely unmanned, with no staff to be found to make eggs, congee, etc. The food was meh on the buffet, lukewarm. It was like the buffet was intended to look fancy, but not to actually be used.
5. The club had insane hours. Open from 9am-9pm, making it almost useless for a business traveler who often isn't getting back from the dinner meeting until 9pm. I like to use the club for a quiet evening drink with a colleague, or a breakfast meeting. Neither were available. Frustrating.
6. Loud Aircon in the room.

On the positive side, the bed was comfy and the room was immaculately clean, if not well maintained. And the desk staff was helpful and responsive to inquiries before my stay.

Room Tip: The club rooms are on the 2nd floor, and have expansive balconies. Higher rooms have smaller balconies.

I have well received all your comments and have shared each points raised on your review with all relevant department in roder to ensure we have an appropriate action plan in place to immediately resolved these issues

Our chief engineer is verifying that all room hot water supply are in good condition, and that our boiler is in good working condition to supply all our room with hot water at all time.

On the meantime our room division manager and chief engineer are currently implementing a full maintenance program that will allow us to resolve all the minor maintenance issues you have brought to our attention

Our Food and Beverage manager is focusing on ensuring we have all training plan and management organisation in place to provide each and every guest and at all times a enjoyable breakfast experience. Our executive chef is as well reviewing team organisation to prevent any food station from being unmanned during breakfast buffet hours

Our Club millesime is, as you have correctly mentioned open from 9 am to 9pm and our guest service manager are able to extend at any time the operating hours of the Club, therefore I have instructed our front office manager to ensure that we kindly ask guest preference upon check-in to all our executive club floor guest so that we can adjust operating hours accordingly

Was a big letdown in terms of taste, quality, service, variety and most of all hygiene. The place was a bit of a mess with plates not promptly cleared and was stacking up at our table. The ice cream buckets had spoons simply placed inside the ice cream where everyone’s hands had touched. But the straw that broke the camel’s back was when I went to get a glass of juice and there right in front of diners, the serving lady nonchalantly coughed up her pghlegm really loudly and spat into the sink where they rinse the juice jugs. We all got full view. After that I felt like vomiting and couldn’t eat anymore.

I thought this was supposed to be Accor Sofitel where I could dine in pleasure,,....
On a positive note, staff and waitresses were generally friendly.

I have instructed our executive chef to review buffet organisation and staffing to ensure all food station are properly manned

Our training manager is as well implementing together with our hygiene specialist an hygiene training for all our restaurant employees to prevent any future occurence of the hygiene issues you brought to our attention

The hotel has a good environment. The service is perfect. Employees are very professional.I enjoyed stay in here. My children also love this place. It’s a good choice for festivals. My family is very satisfied.

Appreciate the service attitude of hotel staff. We have been greeted with fruit platter on arrival and nicely arranged room. Hotel situated in-front of golf course with Very large and clean rooms! Hotel serves sumptuous Breakfast. We spent relaxing couple of days at this hotel. Preferable hotel if you are looking for weekend getaway from Shanghai or places near Nanjing.
