“Always a surprise”
Reviewed 11 February 2012

As a successful french restaurant, other than serving great tasting food, Amber was able to give me surprise every time.

Sometimes, other restaurants messed up by mixing unconventional ingredients together. But Amber always gave me surprises on their choice of food in each dish that I really enjoy an adventure of new combination of food. It's always nice surprise as I could never have imagined those ingredients could go so well together. Pierre tried to do the same but didn't manage the surprise. At least not for me.

“A perfect lunchtime experience”
Reviewed 9 February 2012

I ate here last Sunday and had high expectations met with excellent food and friendly, social courteous service. All of my questions were answered concerning the dishes brought to the table and the somellier was equally knowledgeable about the wine. The ambience is a little stiff in the daytime, but I imagine that it comes alive at night once there is a little more 'mood' lighting.

A first class service and food prepared by a chef who can only be described as one of life's exceptional artists. Despite being far from a rich man, I shall certainly be going back more than once.

“Perfect”
Reviewed 4 February 2012

Perfect fine dining experience, worth the Michelin star! Although the atmosphere is not as grand as Caprice (Four Seasons), but I still felt cozy at the round table I had lunch at. Set menu with various choices, and AN AWESOME CHEESE SELECTION! SMELLED SOOOO GOOOD! Cheese lovers, you know what I mean ;)

“Best restaurant in Hong Kong”
Reviewed 10 January 2012

But it will cost you a bit more than you want to send. Try going in for lunch prix fixe, it's relatively cheap at $50CDN a head.

Had some of the best food every though.

“top fine dining!”
Reviewed 31 December 2011

Amber is one of the best restaurants in Hong Kong! 5 stars for the food, 5 stars for the service, and 5 stars for the environment! Lunch tasting menu was about 80 USD/person (including tip but not drinks). I would definitely recommend this place as one of the top fine dining restaurants in Hong Kong.
