I visit Hong Kong on a monthly basis and my favaorite are in the city is the area between Tin Hau and Quarry bay, so I might be slightly bias with my reviews, but here goes.
We stayed in the hotel for 11 days in February-March with my wife and two small children (7 and 4 years). We did not like to original room that we had booked, but we got a decent deal when we upgraded into a suite with two rooms, two bathrooms and an ok view towards the harbour and Victoria Park. But obviously, there were buildings in your way, so the view was not that great after all.
The hotel is not located in Causeway Bay, but rather in Tin Hau. The MTR entrance is literally across the hotel front doors, so everyhting within MTR network is very easily accessible. Also, there is a Tram stop in front of the hotel. Victoria Park is one block away. Some comments were written about the problems with taxis, we never had issues with them if the drivers did not recognize the address in the hotel card, you can always ask them to drive to Tin Hau MTR and just simply walk across the road (you will do fine with English if you only have to ask Tin Hau, the drivers will most likely get the message). Also, in the mornings, if you have difficulties hailing a cab from the street, again walk across the street and around the corner, there is a taxi stand that has almost always a taxi available and 1,5 blocks away there is a taxi stand that has taxis going across the Victoria harbour to Kowloon side.
Near the entrance of the hotel you can also find a 24/7 McDonalds, Cafe Coral (just down the street) and a small 7/11 style all night shop across the main entrance. Nearest ATM is inside the MTR station.
In the hotel there is a Bar in the basement and a decent restaurant on the second floor. The breakfast was a disappointment though, we only tried it once during our 11 day stay and that was enough.
In the top floor you can find a pool (not open during winter months), small gym with basic cardio-vascular excercise machines and a smalla executive meeting room.
The biggest negative issue was with the lack of wireless network except in the lobby. Usually the lobby was crowded and noisy, and no possibility to use iPad for Skype calls. The wireless was free for hotel guests though. In the lobby there are also two computers for guests.
During our stay we were rather satisfied with the service from the staff, no major disappointments and the staff in the reception did do their best in order to accommodate the needs of our family during our stay.
I can easily recommend this hotel for both first timers and business travelers, but be prepared to use MTR or walk across the Victoria Park to reach Causeway bay.
