“Great views”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 August 2012

Great fun travelling up on tram, views from top worth the effort.
Go early avoid queues, not cheap, the route from tram to viewing area swamped by cheap tat shops selling over priced rubbish. Food, drinks, ice creams way over the top.

“Avoid, chaotic, crowded, badly organised!”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 August 2012

I visited the Peak in August with my family. We wanted to see the city at night so arrived at the bottom of the tram station at around 7.30pm. We were shocked at the length of the queue. We waited around 90 minutes to get on the tram with a lot of pushing and shoving from fellow passengers. There was a seperate queue for customers who had pre-purchased tickets. The people in this queue were ushered through quickly to the front. It was rather irritating to wait in the long queue watching people who had just arrived but bought tickets going to the front. We asked how to pre-purchase tickets and the girl said "on the internet". I can't find out how to do this, but I suggest if you want to visit you buy tickets in advance. The view at the top was good, but in my opinion, the view from Kowloon is far superior. You can get the star ferry to Kowloon, no waiting time, smaller crowds and admire the superb skyline from the harbour in Kowloon in comfort. My advice avoid this tourist trap, until a better system of getting people on and off the tram is organised. Never again! We asked how long to get back down on the tram and the girl said the same around 90 mins, so we only bought a one way ticket. We had to wait around 30 mins in line for a cab, and the line for a bus back down was longer, maybe about an hour. It was worse than the lines at Disney, which at least are organised and people don't push and shove.

“Scenic absolute must for Hong Kong visitors”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 August 2012

This is the ultimate scenic experience in HK. The cable car trip to the peak is a step back in time that has to be enjoyed, then to the peak complex, which has become very commercial with floor after floor of tourist shopping .. any gifty you need is there. The view from the top is breathtaking, where you can see the extremities of HK's skyline and its lay out to the sea.

Take you camera as its the snaps you have to have.

“A bird's eye view of Hong Kong”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 August 2012

The best place to see the 'entire' of Hong Kong! Best visited somewhere near the evening to see the sunset. The air is definitely fresh and cool and the ride up/down the tram is worth while; not every day you'll travel at nearly a 45 degree (or maybe more) incline! There's the Madam Tussauds Wax Museum too, where you can take photos with celebrities (mostly Asian stars) 'live'. Loads of eateries too to fill your tummy whenever it rumbles!

Well worth a trip on the tram up the hill to view Hong Kong from the clouds. Excellent restaurants and shopping. Will be back some day!
