“Won't go back there anymore!”

Reasons 1.before we left for hk, i called the hotel to adv them that our arrival time in hkg is very early in the morning, the lady who answered the phone said we could chk in if there is already an available room when we arrived. Upon arrival in hk, i called them again to double chk if there is an available room, the guy who answered said we have to pay addional hkd1000 in order for us to chk in early! Of course u can't argue with them, it will just be a waste of time since he couldnt understand straight english!!! 2. There was only one chk in staff at the reception counter, had to wait for about 15mins just to chk in! 3. The room given to us was at the very corner, small and very old, edges of the carpet was torn and almost oeeling off from the floor. Tv was positioned on the side, you have to turn to ur right while on the bed if u want to watch. 4.worst part was when we tried the bed.seemed like they forgot to put the mattresses! I was sooo hard.called front desk to complain, i was told she was "busy", i got pissed! Could u imagine a customer service agent telling u she's very busy right now and she ciukdnt attend to u so u hv to call back! Of course i looked for the manager then she finally listened to my complain and told me she'll chk for a deluxe room(we were in standard), as per her deluxe rooms have softer beds BUT we have to pay additional hkd400! Well i agreed coz i didnt want to sleep on a bed that's hard as a plywood! She said she'll call bk in 15mins 5. 15mins had passed and she didnt call! So i called them again a guy answered the phone, he had no clue of my complaint so i had to repeat it. He said he'll send a housekeeping staff to bring additional mattresses for free. See, they are not consistent. If u talk to different people, they'll tell u different things.so in the end a housekeeping staff brought extra mattresses, very thin ones and placed on top of our beds. Made it a little softer but still not comfy..
This hotel costs about usd140/night. If u're on the same budget, book somewhere else, maybe novotel.nevermind if it's a little farther from tsim sha tsui, at least u're not wasting u're money.

On arrival to room 1641 it was filthy the carpet badly stained.Plus a note stating the due to renovations there would be pounding from adjoining rooms from 9am till 6pm..
I was advised by reception that the hotel was full. After making a formal complaint I was shown a renovated room tiny.
I requested and paid for an upgrade to a suite basically double room with a bed settee.
When I requested a taxi I was initially told by staff to just go on the street and flag one down.. this is with my 77 year old Mother in Law in tow.
on check out was charged for breakfast although included in my booking..
Staying at this hotel was hard work and an uphill battle to get good service.. I blame myself I went through a travel agent and did not book myself..Would never stay here again and would not recommend

Room Tip: stay at another hotel

My wife and I have just returned from a stay of 4 nights in this centrally located Kowloon hotel. In all respects we found the place to be efficiently managed with all staff encountered providing good service. The room was large, clean and freshly decorated. Room service quick and quietly efficient. Concern was shown about my wife's dietary requirements and the restaurant offered a very good value buffet which catered for all tastes. I would recommend the Kimberley for a relatively short stopover in Hong Kong.

Room Tip: Don't expect any kind of view from the windows.

I stayed there for 4 night,
1) bed was uncomfortable and shaky
2) room and bathroom was really small
3)showerhead is rusty and difficult to toggle between showerhead and tap
4)receptionist was rude upon check in.
5) location is ok,10min walk from mtr although plenty of shops nearby
6) Quite difficult to locate it as entrance and lobby is a passageway.
7)no complimentary water

Overall, terrible hotel.

*** A guest will leave a good impression of a Hotel, its depend on their "Services"
1) Bad service! I had requested for a non-smoking room/floor and they still put me in smoking zone. The manager/staff is speaking rude and loudly.
2) The room is small when I put my luggage, I need to climb over my luggage to cross the pathway.
3) The corner of the bathtub is dirty as you do not want to stay in the bathtub for long. The shower tab is rusty. (refer to picture)
4) The bed is as hard as sleeping in a wooden wood. I never had slept in a 4* hotel which provide this kind of quality of bed. If you are going for budget, you may consider.
5) I'm giving a credit to it location ONLY!!!
