“convenient and reasonably priced”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 March 2012

it was our first time to travel in hongkong with my siblings, there were 4 of us so it was pretty difficult to find a hotel that's reasonably priced thats in the tsim sha tsui area. Although the room was a bit small and simply functional, for the price we paid, it was ok. The staff were very accommodating and nice. But the best thing about this hotel is its location. Its in the middle of everything.

Stayed there was a week in the beginning of Nov 11. The room wasn't overly big but I found it quite comfortable. The location was excellent. Very close to temple street, super markets and 7/11s (although there are 7/11 almost everywhere in HK...) The hotel was very clean. Even though I was on the "Smoking Allowed" floor, I don't smell any smoke.
The chinese restaurant in the hotel's basement was quite "economical" for dim sum and the food wasn't half bad.
My main problem was with the elevator. It took a loooooong time to get to the top floors and sometimes even skip them due to some mechanical problem. It sometimes takes up to 5 minutes to get an elevator.

If you want to save some money getting there from the airport, you can take the A21 city bus and get off at Prudential Centre, Nathan Rd. It is just literally a 5 min walk away.

Room Tip: See if you can try to get one with a view to the park.

I stayed here for 11 days & thank god they have a laundry service (i think on the 13 floor?). The only downfall to it is that there are 4 washers & i believe 2 dryers? (i cant remember) but its not a huge laundry mat, but its better than looking around HK for one. if memory serves correctly its open 24 hrs. i personally think the price of the rooms are pretty expensive & the rooms are REALLY TINY!! so if you suffer from claustrophobia, i highly advise you to NOT stay here. The bathroom is TINY, i cant stress how small it is in there.

I heard the hotel donates part of the money to the Boys Scout ~ or something along the lines (so its for a good cause!!). I believe if you pay for wifi (or if its generally free) just make sure to speak to the front desk for the pw, otherwise you're stuck using their PC at the bar lounge area. Their wifi was pretty weak, so if you want to skype/facetime someone, i'd suggest you go to their bar lounge / main floor where the connection is A LOT stronger.

The area of the hotel is slightly "sketchy" (if you're not use to that type of environment. But it gives the flavor of how HK is. There are many restaurants & foot massage places around the neighborhood, as well as a huge park right behind the hotel. The hotel is inbetween 2 train stations (took me a few days to figure that one out, though there are many trains in HK, you really cant get lost, even if you wanted to.

Everyone that works at the hotel is very nice & the cleaning ladies are sweet & fast. And without failure, they always restock you on bottled water!!!

Location - excellent, its near all the tourist spots, shopping areas, train stations, its so easy to find a place to eat, theres a 7-11 right across the hotel.

Price - definitely worth it!

Service - excellent! wonderful people, always smiling and willing to help

rooms- not as large as your normal 5star hotel, but who stays in the hotel when your touring the whole day and shopping at night? it's just perfect for the price and convenience. It's pretty clean too with complete toiletries. aircon, water heater, personal ref, cable tv, wifi- all excellent!

all in all, i would recommend this hotel to anyone without a doubt.

A very busy hotel, located on Austin Road, just off Nathan, in Tsim Sha Tsui, Million. Easy access from the airport by Airport Express train and free hotel shuttle bus #K4. The train will run you HK$140 one way to Kowloon Station from the airport (for two).
The B P has some elevator issues at the moment, but they're working hard to overcome them. The hotel is part of the Baden Powell Scout Centre and seems to have a gazillion rooms. The rooms are typically small - no room to swing a cat by the tail here, but they're well maintained and kept clean.
Staff is friendly and accommodating.
Close to just about everything you need or want in HK.

Room Tip: If you want a queen bed, be sure to specify. Same for non-smoking.
