My wife & I spent 3 wonderful nights in Langham Hotel, from Apr 6 to 9, 2012. Our room, #942, did not have any great view outside the window but the interior was just superb. Room was very clean & very spacious. So was the bathroom within, with separate shower and bath. Oh, the big bed, big pillows (not too soft or too hard) & everything else within were just truly wonderful. They made us slept very well every night which was very important for us as we walked a lot in the day and in the early evening.

The turndown service was very well carried out. Every evening someone would place on each bedside table a small pink "Good Night" box of chocolate with a card giving the weather forecast for the following day. This was a nice little gesture and we were really touched. (I'm just wondering, are only 5-star hotels doing this ? We had this same pleasant experience in Hilton Tokyo.)

The location of the Langham Hotel HK is very good. 2 mins' walk out of the hotel you will face the big and swanky Harbour City which has lots and lots of upmarket shops displaying well known brands of bags, apparel, watches, shoes, etc, etc. Restaurants, cafes and food courts can also be found within. And there are resting places where tired shoppers can sit down and enjoy the sea views, without the need to pay for drinks or food. Harbour City is really the place where you can shop till you drop literally, ie if you are into shopping for branded goods.

Right next to Harbour City is the China HongKong City, another big shopping mall. The Ferry Terminal for folks going to Macau is housed within this building. Ferries run at 30 mins' interval and it takes an hour to reach Macau (tip: buy tickets to Macau from touts just outside the ticket booths - they are cheaper. Not sure how they do it).

Tsim Sha Tsui MTR station is within 5 mins' walk from the hotel. From this station, you can visit many places in Hong Kong island, in Kowloon and the airport. Places of interest, such as the Avenue of Stars, HK Space Museum, HK Cultural Centre, etc, are also within walking distance.

In short, staying in Langham Hotel is certainly a very good choice - hotel staff are efficient, professional, very helpful and caring. It has wonderful room (at least for us in room #942), great services and the right location. And by the way, it has free wifi.

This is wonderful, grand hotel in a fabulous location right in the heart of Kowloon. The staff, especially concierge staff, are extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Trying to find an obscure place, the concierge not only knew it but knew exactly the best way to get there to minimise hassle. Breakfasts are truly delicious with huge variety, even by Hong Kong hotel standards. The rooms however are a bit of a let down. I stayed in a deluxe room and it feels tired, dated and poorly thought out. From having to crawl under the desk to plug in my laptop (and the plug constantly falling out the socket), to the alarm clock that you can't see in the night to tell the time to the light switches that confuse and don't make any sense, these are rooms that need to be better thought out. When I travel I just want a room that works, that you don't have to fight with. However, this is still a good hotel with friendly and well-trained staff. I'd stay here again if I needed to be in Kowloon.

Room Tip: Deluxe rooms aren't huge and need updating. If you can afford the next category of room, take i...

We usually stay at the Park Lane, Causeway Bay annually as we visit family. But because we were getting a little bored with Causeway Bay a few years in a row, we decided to try something on the Kowloon Side. The Langham Hong Kong is situated in Tsim Sha Tsui MTR station. It's about a block away from Canton Road where all the designer stores are. The closest exit for the hotel is on the TST L5 exit. This is great for us, although it's quite a walk from when you get off the MTR, but on wet evenings it's great.
As soon as you enter the hotel you are greeted with this gorgeous aroma which makes you feel so welcome. The Check in was smooth and quick. We had arranged the hotel back in Sept 2011 so we obtained a good rate for 2 adults and 1 child, deluxe room with breakfast, daily paper and Wifi internet. The Child bed and child breakfast came free of charge with the offer.
We stayed for 8 nights. The deluxe room is actually bigger in size compared to the Park Lane even after the child bed was put in which was lovely and roomy. There was a two seater sofa and desk, TV all the iPod speakers etc which meant you could charge your ipod or iphone.
Housekeeping were excellent, they recharged all your bathroom amenities and towels twice a day, in the morning and once again at turndown which meant you were never low on anything. The toiletries you get were amazingly good quality and did not have a strong odour which was good for men or ladies. There is plenty of bottled water and teabag, coffee top ups. Plenty of storage space for clothing with big double wardrobe and lots of drawers. Also you could fit two suitcases on the suitcase stand which is always helpful.
Turndown was lovely and chocolates by your bed every evening, they even tucked my daughter's cuddlies every evening which was so lovely.
Inclusive Buffet Breakfast was always plentiful with International selection. Don't bother with their Breakfast tea, that was the only downside, it was weak and not worth the bother. We British like it strong. I am sure The Langham in London would have better tea!!!
We would have loved to try the restaurants, but because we were always invited out to dinner over the Hong Kong island we didnt get a chance. We will definitely want to try it next time.
Because we have many family members in Hong Kong that we needed to contact, we would of preferred to have local calls included in our room rate, but we were told that it would be charged, but still not many hotels offer Free Wifi access and to get that included in our room rate it was a bonus.
Ask for a higher floor, we stayed on the 14th floor and the swimming pool and leisure centre were on the 15th which was great as my daughter visited the swimming pool several times and loved it, right in the centre of TST what more could you ask for!!! We requested a King Size and it was like a Super King!! Lovely...
To really make the stay even more memorable was that they had a lovely cake delivered to the room for my husband's birthday on a lovely silver tray with a candle and matches ready.
Oh and also they had fresh fruit in the room daily..... I could go on all day about the benefits of the hotel as it is never ending..... Just the best stay ever...

Room Tip: Higher Floor, King Size and the room still felt roomy even after the child bed was put in.

The Langham hotel has a great location, situated opposite train station, close to ferry, very centrally positioned. Great service, delicious breakfasts, great help from concierge and hotel staff.
The rooms are smallish compared to other hong kong hotels. I would highly recommend the grand langham rooms. We had a fabulous break staying at then langham!

Room Tip: grand langham rooms are nicely furnished.

Dear Ms. “Havivaled”,

We hope you and your family had a safe journey back to Melbourne and we are ever so grateful for your delightful feedback on your recent stay with us and.

Firstly, it is pleasing to hear that our convenient location was a positive lasting memory on your stay. Located in the heart of Tsimshatsui, one of the liveliest and most popular areas of the city; our proximity to the harbour, outstanding array of luxury shops, entertainment and public transportation is one of our strongest assets, and I am happy to hear we met your expectation in this regards. Hopefully on your next visit, Edward our Chief Concierge, can tailor some recommendations in regards to some interesting “in the know” places to visit, dine and experience; there are many fabulous hidden secrets in Hong Kong that you may have not had a chance to see this visit.

I am also delighted to hear that you enjoyed our recently refurbished Grand Langham Rooms. Our Grand Langham Rooms are our namesake rooms and we have been delighted with the strong positive feedback on these rooms; specifically in regards to the generosity of space, the spa-style bathrooms that open to the living space, the ample luxury amenities provided, complimentary internet, and our Hotel’s signature bedding (“The Langham Blissful Bed”, especially developed to offer an indulgent sleep and features feather pillows, a feather bed topper and 300 thread-count 100% cotton linen). In is important to note that the Grand Langham Rooms do vary in size depending on the view you request, however I do recommend the Peking Road facing Grand Langham Rooms as not only do they have a fascinating view of crowds bustling to get into the Luxury high end stores, but are also very generous in size (35m²).

Ms.“Havivaled”, thank you again for your comments. I have noted my contact details below, and I would be most appreciative if you could pop me an email so that I can ensure I update your feedback and personal preferences accordingly and ensure we allocate you the larger Grand Langham Room on your next stay with us.

Please do contact me personally in the future if you require any assistance if you wish to book a stay at any of our Langham Hotels worldwide.

Yours Sincerely,

Dean Dimitriou
