Everything started well enough.... We used the complimentary shuttle from the airport (which departs from the adjacent Regal Airport hotel - about a 10 min walk from the terminal). Check-in went smoothly - even upgraded to a club floor room. Room was a very nice size. Bathroom was clean. Beds were very firm, but still comfortable. Breakfast was very above average.

The hotel is well located. Just a 5 min walk from the Avenue of the Stars, 10 mins to the Star Ferry and 15 mins from Nathan Road. We walked to most of the sights in Kowloon during our 2 night stay.

Then it was time to depart. We arrived in the lobby of the hotel to catch the shuttle back to the airport. First, the staff could not give me a ticket because (though my name was on the reserved list for the shuttle), they were not authorized to distribute tickets (and did not know who was). Then the shuttle was late. First, we were told it would be 5 mins... then 10 mins... then no more than a half hour... Crowds of concerned guests gather. Panic begins to set in. Another later shuttle arrives, but we are told that we have tickets for the earlier shuttle, which is stuck in traffic. 10 more minutes pass. Suddenly, the several hours we had allotted for our flight to New York seems insufficient. Now nearly an hour late, my wife and I decide to join up with a pair of businessmen from Singapore in a taxi, strapping out bags on top of the trunk with bungee cords. The last thing we heard from the manager (rather than offering to pay for our taxi) was "Wait! You cannot take a taxi! You have tickets for the shuttle!"

Honestly, this hotel probably deserves a 4 star rating based on the majority of our stay. But the chaos and ineptitude of that final hour almost ruined our trip to Hong Kong (and our trip home).

3 of us stayed in a room. They offered us an upgrade for a reasonable amount (which included internet, airport transfers, access to the VIP lounge/drinks/food and 2x breakfast daily).

We had 2x queen beds, nice views partially looking out onto the harbour, white leather furnishings and widescreen tv. The breakfast was average-above average.
The room size would be considered large as compared to other HK rooms. We felt very comfortable.

The best part about this hotel is it's vicinity to shops, restaurants and public transport. The MTR is about 5-8minute walk, there are lots of big stores and shops just outside and some great street food and restaurants. Very accessible.

A great aspect about the upgrade was that included access to the VIP lounge. Here they host VIP afternoon tea and evening cocktails which includes a selection of canapes, finger foods, tea, coffee and drinks.

We will definitely be staying here again on our next visit and definietly take their upgrade as well!!

I highly recommend this hotel if you will be in Hong Kong, however be aware that the rate you pay may NOT include internet. In the age of free internet in most hotels, this one will charge you a high rate per minute that maxed out at about $18 USD for one 24-hour period. Now, you can book at a rate that include internet but it will be higher. Consider booking directly on the hotel's website rather than Orbitz, Expedia, or similar as those are considered "travel agents" by the hotel and you won't get internet because they have to pay a commission. Highly recommended hotel but do your homework before booking. They speak very good English.

Room Tip: Ask to face South for the better view of the courtyard with shops.

I booked two room with two beds each for three nights. Both rooms were on the 7th floor which has not been renovated yet. We didn't upgrade as we wouldn't be in our rooms except to sleep, which was good because we wouldn't have wanted to be in the hotel during the day because of all the construction noise. I believe they said the noise is from 10 AM to 6 PM. The AC wasn't working in one room, but maintenance came and fixed it while we were out. Overall, based on room appearance, the non-upgraded rooms are very old looking and I would only rate them as 3 stars.

If you are considering the hotel's breakfast, I'd say try it once before you book it your entire stay. There are plenty of food options near the hotel.

Overall, the rooms were clean, the staff was helpful, and the hotel's location to the harbor is good.

Just came back from a 3 night stay in Hongkong from which I chose this hotel based on traveller's pics of the rooms and pics on Hotels.com or Agoda. Be warned: most of the nice room pictures you see are of the rooms on the EXECUTIVE FLOOR, which is like only 1 or 2 floors out of 14 on the hotel. The rest of the rooms are very outdated; it's heyday I would say would be in the early 80's. At least the bed was comfortable and the bed linens were clean. But the bathroom was kind of gross: the sink had a lot of stains and scuff marks, parts of the marble in the bathroom were worn out, the towels were frayed.

In terms of location: there are a lot of other better located hotels for the same price. It's not that close to Nathan Road and the major shopping area, maybe a 25 minute walk away.

Overall I would not stay in this hotel again.
