We stood and watched numerous Chinese wedding parties being photographed in this lovely place. Well worth exploring.

“Excellent ReDevelopment of the old HongKong Marine Police building”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 April 2012

This is one of the most beautifully re-development of a heritage building of previously the HongKong Marine Police. Located right at the heart of Tsim Sha Tsui, the shopping district of Kowloon, HongKong.

Craved right in the side of a hill, this award winning 1881 HERITAGE development consists of a wide selection of restaurants, shops of international name brands stores in over 130,000 square feet of space.

There is an exhibition hall located in the bunkers of the police station that describes how the building was used previously and the re-development. The day and night views of the place is equally beautiful and wonderful way to spend 2-3 hours walking around.

Not to be missed....!!!

“perfect for photo sessions”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 February 2012

1881 Heritage was a stop on our Big Bus Tour in Cowloon, Hong Kong. The buildings' unique Victorian architecture is a great view, both n the daytime and at night. Small wonder, that’s a popular tourist attraction. Winding staircases, old carriages, fountains and waterfalls make a perfect setting for photo sessions, amateur and professional. We saw several newly wedded couples, who were making their family album and groups working on a cover of a fashion magazine. It’s a nice promenade zone, too: you can visit Time Ball Tower, have a look at carefully preserved street gas lamps or treat yourself to lovely shopping. You will find expensive, but quality luxury items. I couldn’t miss Frey Wille on the 3d floor, and made sure you’d better buy this jewelry in Europe – better choice and smaller prices. And the exhibition hall featured a delightful art project, we really enjoyed it!

“Just another photo session”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 February 2012

Walkable distance from "Avenue of the Stars".

It was a disappointment high end shopping mall and 1881 Heritage was closed! Might be just my luck it was close on that day, i don't know~ Looks like any other shopping mall than heritage site. There's many anime cosplayers and university graduates around there taking photos.
