“get there at 9am sharp”
Reviewed 4 June 2012

arrived at 905am on sunday morning and were the last of the first group let into the restaurant~ 30ppl or so at a time. by far the dessert jello with flowers and the pork buns were best. we also had shrimp/pork dumpling, beef vermicelli roll, and tofu skin things. were i to go again, i would try the glutinous rice dumping or congee both of which looked quite good. service was friendly

tip: you can do take out instead of wait, we saw several people do just that !

“Amazing - well worth the wait!”
Reviewed 2 June 2012

Went on a recent trip with some girlfriends and we heard about the type of Tim Ho Wan. Its a tiny little gem tucked away in the suburbs and it took us a while to find. We were given a number and was told that the line was about 3 hours long. They give you little sheets to fill out your order before you head in - DON'T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE AS US - order as much as you can as this is your only chance. Once you get it, no more. Be sure to try the Char Sui Bao - divine! Having a chinese background, I know what good yum cha is and this certainly does not disappoint!

“Best dimsum place in Hongkong”
Reviewed 2 June 2012

Drop by Tim Ho Wan in Central at around 4pm. It is located one floor below city check-in and not in IFC.. Did not have to wait for a table. Definitely try the bbq pork bun, beef balls, siomai, steam egg cake, rice with ribs and chicken feet, and two kinds of desserts. Even without any Michelin stars, visit this place for its value for money food.

“Great price for good dim sum”
Reviewed 31 May 2012

Arrived about 6pm on a Wednesday night. Waited only about 10 minutes to be seated. Went alone for dinner so only bought three dishes, but make sure to buy the Pork Bun when you visit. They are very tasty. Cheapest Michelin Star restaurant you'll find.
