Shanghai-style restaurants are aplenty in Hong Kong, but none comes as authentic as this. As its name suggests, Hong Zhou Restaurant serves the untainted taste of southeastern China. Many options are unavailable elsewhere in the city and may even be unheard of for first-time diners. Food is very nice and mildly seasoned. Fried freshwater shrimps is crispy and savory. Smoked frog leg is succulent and full of smoky aroma. Dessert is very underwhelming, though. Service is polite. Price is on the upper end but quite reasonable. Reservation is a must especially during weekends.
