The hotel is conveniently located near a shopping mall which has a variety of restaurants on the top floor and a food court including a grocery store like Whole foods on the lower level. The rooms were nice and spacious with modern fixtures in the bathroom. The executive lounge was one of the highlights of the trip. It had a wide variety of food for breakfast, afternoon snack, evening light meals during cocktail hour and desserts. The service at the lounge was excellent. The concierge was extremely friendly and eager to serve us. It was nice to relax in the lounge especially after a long day of sightseeing trips.

The JW Marriott in Beijing is highly professional and does everything you'd expect a strong chain business hotel to do well. The room was comfortable and spacious, with a modern shower that really blasted away the day's grind, or the night's residual sleepiness. The staff were as charming as they could be across cultures, and very helpful with discussing things like how to add some tourism activities to a business stay. They are obviously used to it. One disconcerting thing - by no means unique to this hotel or city! - was being approached by, ahem, a "lady of the night" in the lobby, quite openly. I was surprised the JW Marriott wasn't keener to crack down on this. So far so expected. What made this trip memorable was the food in the hotel restaurant. It's simply brilliant. I'm talking about the Chinese food - give the faux-European or ersatz American dishes the cold shoulder and go straight for the local cuisine. Then stay there. They seem to have a specialist chef for every single Chinese dish - and it shows. On your tastebuds. If I wasn't staying here, I'd come and eat here - it's that good. Take bigger trousers - you have been warned.

Room Tip: Eat the Chinese breakfast! Don't eat European or American. Easy!

Stayed at Hotel for a 1 night stay on May 2nd. The Hotel is really nice in appearance and the room we had was terrific. We were extremely inconveniced by the fact that there was a government meeting going on and extreme security. Our driver could not get onto the driveway and there were lots of secret service people all around which was uncomfortable. We were told at the reception desk that we had free use of the internet but when we went to the business center the attendent was saying we had to pay. We resolved the situation and then it happened again the next day. The Hotel is located in a very nice area with every high end store at your fingertips. The China Mall is across the street.

I stayed at the JW Beijing for one night one business trip in May 2012. The hotel got the airport pick up time wrong which caused some confusion. The concierge sorted the problem quickly and gave me an upgrade upon check in.

The staff and facilities are excellent. The hotel has a great gym. I will be back.

Ive been staying here since it opened. There have been ups and downs, and this is an up year. Service was top notch, driver met me at door of plane, which was fantastic after 20 hours of travel. Greeter at door had my folio prepared so I bypassed desk. Executive lounge has stepped it up a notch with a new layout and improved service as well as improved food service. All around a great stay with nice rooms and amenities. Pool always a big plus.
