“okay hotel, but overpriced”
Reviewed 11 June 2012

The room is clean, bed is comfortable. Bathroom is small, not superclean.
The interior decoration is local and out of fashion.
Staff is very friendly and helpful, which is definately a plus.
Breakfast not grand but sufficent. catering area is divided into two to seperate Chinese guests and foreign guests, though you can choose wherever you want to sit. The waitress will guide you to either area based on your nationality.
The hotel name is difficult to remember, had to write it down and show to the taxi driver.
Location-wise, close to the Bird's Nest and the National Conference Centre, but nowhere else.
Over 1000 RMB per night is bit overpriced.

My first hotel experience in China...from what I understand, we could have done a lot worse.
Comfortable room with king bed. Clean, shower drain iffy. Good view of the city. A/C was weak, but the window opened & the room got almost too cool (late May.).
Close to Bird's Nest area where there is a nice public square. Staff at the TGI Fridays very friendly. Breakfast buffet in a nice room with a lot of variety.

The long name of this hotel gave me a bit of problem when taking cab ride from airport, as most cab drivers could only speak limited English.
Hotel is located just beside the famous Bird's Nest stadium. It's at a quiet part of Beijing. Would be good if you are on business trip. Anyway, taxis for transportations is not a problem.
Rooms are large and are tastefully done. Bed is huge and bath-room is just plain fantastic with the modern gadgets.View from room at Bird's Nest which is less than 100m away is just fantastic. Food at lobby restaurent is just average but due to limited choice around this hotel, it served its purpose.
If you are in love with the design structure of Bird's Nest, like me, this is the place to stay.
Hotel staff are average, maybe due to language, but overall not bad.

Room Tip: Get a room facing back portion, which gives you the famous Bird's Nest view instead of traffic f...

Our company rep in China recommended this hotel as the prices at the Intercon were bit on the high side. Cost about US$160 per night for a double room, including breakfast. I was able to check in at 9am. bed was very comfortable and there was free internet in the room but no where else in the hotel.
The restaurant was freezing, any time of the day. There was no proper bar area, so would be served drinks in the restaurant.
The staff were friendly and in the main spoke good english.

Still in this hotel and will check out in couple of hours. This hotel is a bad-chinese stylished fake of intercontinental and worst hotel I have stayed in China. Staff can't speak English, can not understand you either. Rooms are extremly cold (because they don't have their own heating system, connected to public heating system). When you ask for heater they recommend you to use more blanket! Brakfast is another case. There is no too much thing to eat in breakfast even any single kind of cheese. They don't serve tea and coffee and there's a little botlle of them that's not enough for everbody. Although I blinked "Don't disturb" sign, staff knock the door, enter the room if you are not there and clean the room without your permission. They have broken glasses and left some parts during cleaning(!) as well. If you accept their willings, welcome to this hotel. I will never come back here!
