Too much to walk with heaps of crowds. Pay to enter park and then again pay for each site. Avoid is my choice.

This place is a ripoff. Bought a ticket to enter to find out this only valid for part of the garden then you have to buy another ticket to see the temple. That was not nice beside the non friendly attitude of the guards and employees. You feel the communist influence is very much vivid.

It's in a huge park, fair bit of walking so be prepared.
some nice big parks to relax if you are in the city. Temples are beautiful. they give you tickets for five things/temples to be visited inside the campus, we could only get 3 tickets punched. Was a bit confusing!
There was an area where people were gambling, it was called Long Corridor!
Pearl Market is right across the street if you are up for some shopping after the temple visit. you also get a view of the temple from 5th floor of the Pearl Market, if the day is clear !!

Where we entered this place there were many elderly Chinese people doing all sorts of exercise that the government promotes for better health, which was great to watch. Some of them are so flexible! We did a Tai Chi class in the grounds which we enjoyed and then walked through the vast parklands. In a section, Chinese parents gather with fact sheets of their child to organise 'blind dates', so they can find a partner. Have a look for this, they put them on the ground or on an easle and potential suitors/or their parents come around to view! A great place to visit and see the buildings and all the other extra curricular activities!
