We stayed for five nights in Beijing. This hotel located close to Dongsi station (subway) and the rooms are indeed quite spacious by Beijing standards.

However.....,and there are quite a number of items on this list:
1. The hotel is old, tired and dirty in some areas. Our room was quite clean but not so the breakfast area, club room and bar in the lobby
2. The beds are very hard by western standards
2. The wifi is terrible. It’s impossible to download apps or access online newspapers etc at any reasonable speed
3. On our first night the shower and toilet stopped working. Water pressure on the club floor was weak at best. There was no apology or communication for this serious inconvenience.
4. We payed for the club level but no additional benefits were offered to us despite our asking. The staff in the club lounge spoke very limited English and kept referring us down to main reception fir any queries.
5. Very few staff are able to speak English and except for the travel concierge (who was excellent) the service of the hotel was poor
6. Breakfast is a basic buffet but you need to eat as early as possible as most dishes are not replenished or on a very limited basis. By 9.00am you feel like you are eating leftovers. On the second day of our 5 day stay the coffee machine broke down and was not repaired. On the 3rd day the yoghurt machine broke down and again not repaired
6. The hotel was carrying out works in the club level but this was never communicated to us.

My ultimate guide is would I stay here again and the answer is a resounding no.

The best thing about this hotel is the place of it . Wanfuging street is one of the best in Beijing. The hotel lobby manager was not good they didn't help me ! We was 2 family with one voucher but they gave us 2 room one of them on 6th floor and another on 4th floor ! And after 30 minute controversy they gave us side by side rooms ! And we must carry all of baggage by our self because lobby boys was not there and we must stay 30 minutes to bring our baggage to our room !

Good hotel in a phenomenal location! The staff were good. The room was nice. We didn’t use the pool or gym but I’m sure they were really nice.

Only complaint is that there is no shampoo/conditioner/body wash provided. Remember to bring your own!

The lobby is beautiful and the breakfast is terrific. The room was comfortable (although the mattress was very hard for this American!) I really enjoyed being in a hotel that was primarily frequented by non-Westerners that was so comfortable. The location was terrific and it was easily walkable to stores, the metro, and the wonderful art museum (don't miss it!) I would definitely recommend this hotel as a great value.
