Stayed here five nights, all the staff very helpful, an amazing breakfast every morning! Super clean, always a fresh smell everywhere. The area was perfect for getting about in cabs, we walked to the Temple of Heaven in 10 mins straight from our hotel. There is a WuMart supermarket 100 m from the hotel and a 7 eleven which came in useful. I cannot fault Holiday Inn Express! Excellent service and extra comfortable air con rooms. Thanks

We stayed for 3 nights in our visit to Beijing. very close to the Temple of Heaven and the Beijing's Opera, but 20 minute’s walk from any Metro station. You need to take bus to get to the metro.
Hotel is in good shape and clean, but not smoke free.
Laundry facilities where very good (we did use them), with Iron stuff available.
Breakfast was included in price and was including both Chinese and western style food which was convenient.
Some of the reception staff speak English and with the rest we did communicate using translation apps.
.

Room tip: Ask for a non smoking room if you don't want to smell smoke

We arrived at this hotel after traveling for 24 hours from New Zealand. So all we wanted to do was get our rooms allocated quickly and sleep! However, the staff were reluctant to give us rooms because our guide was still at the airport and they couldn't work out who should be in each room. With the assistance of one of our group who spoke Chinese, we did the allocation ourselves to the consternation of some staff.
The room was spacious, with two good sized beds which were very comfortable. Linen was first rate. The only annoyance was that the door to the bathroom was sticking and difficult to shut. It needs attention. Otherwise, we thought the furnishings, TV (including BBC English language channel), free Wifi, and fridge with complimentary water all made for a comfortable stay.
The hotel is conveniently located for tourists being close to major attractions. Quite a lot of paving was being done to the road at the front entrance which meant some congestion in that area and some early morning noise.
After two hours sleep we raced down to breakfast to find that breakfast ended exactly at 9.30am. The staff were very friendly but given the problems of the previous evening, we felt a little more leeway could have been given for our tour group. The breakfasts on the following days were excellent and probably some of the best we had at any hotel in China. Western tastes were catered for as well as Chinese.
We would certainly recommend this hotel to other Western tourists to Beijing.

Stayed here at this holiday inn express for two nights. Very simple but the front desk was super nice and very friendly. They made me and my wife feel so welcomed. Over all as other holiday inn expresses in China. Very simple but the room I was in was super clean.

Temple of Heaven Holiday in is a wonderful 3+ star hotel. It’s very clean and a convenient location. Plenty of public transportation available. Busses, taxi and uber. The hotel offers a complimentary buffet breakfast every morning which gives you a great start to each day, and one less meal out of pocket. This hotel covers both western and eastern needs with plenty of well thought amenities. The hotel staff are always available, friendly and helpful. The location is 10 mins from a major shopping area Hong Quaio Pearl Market. A taxi to/from the airport to hotel is approximately $30-40 usd.
