English people will be very familiar with 'Peking' duck served with pancakes and garnishes. But the duck at this restaurant is on a whole new level: elegantly sliced, the the crispest skin with no hint of fat, the thinnest pancakes, intense sauce and imaginative garnishes. And the rest of the meal? All dishes were wonderful, with special mention for the green beans. Yes, green beans, elevated to dizzy heights of deliciousness. AND the mapu tofu...There was a fun live performance which kept the children amused, but was never intrusive. The restaurant is huge but arranged in areas so that the intimate feel is never lost. AND the decor is beautiful, with deep reds, traditional picture and artefacts and wonderful lighting.
