We had a 12 hour Beijing layover, and thanks to the Beijing Layover Tour, and Alice our tour guide, we had a fantastic and comprehensive tour of the Great Wall, Tienanmen Square and the Forbidden City. They took care of all the details, starting right with detailed directions out of the airport, how to get a day visa, and met us on time at the place agreed. As we learned through the day, there would be no way to fit in what we saw without an experienced and licensed guide. We got to skip entrance lines, and Alice even knows the ideal spots for photo ops. Her English is great, and she made certain we kept on schedule to have plenty of time everywhere, including returning back to the Airport for our flight. They made doing a day tour both possible and easy.

Excellent tour to the Great Wall and Beijing sites. We were delayed getting into Tianjin port by a day and within 5 minutes of emailing the tour company from the ship they confirmed we could move the tour to the following day which we were able to do with our 3 day stop in this port. Really impressed with this flexibility and speed. The tour itself was great too. They delivered on all accounts, the Sunworld hotel was good and the food included was also amazing. The great thing was the tour was the same price for 2 people that it was for a group of 10 which isn't the case with a lot of tour companies. Gary UK

We were scheduled to have a 13 hour layover in Beijing and we're extremely happy that we chose to book a layover tour instead of wasting time at the airport.
Communication with Daniel went smoothly and our tour guide Jily was waiting for us despite our flight being delayed by almost an hour.

For our private tour, we saw the Mutianyu portion of The Great Wall, visited a hutong/Yandaixiejie Street/Shichahai Lake, and saw Tiananmen Square. Jily was a great tour guide and was really helpful with taking photos and helping us order at food stalls along Yandaixiejie Street.

Awesome tour!! I was picked up at my hotel early in the morning to beat the crowds at the wall . Linda was an awesome tour guide she was very knowledgeable and made the Tour so relaxing enjoyable I cannot thank her enough. If you ever have a layover in Beijing don't hesitate to take a tour with Linda. Thank you again!

Herbie was a fantastic guide. I was solo and the tour was with other solo travellers. I think everyone enjoyed it. Money well spent. Going to the Wall is a must do. If i ever have another layover there I’ll book to see the Forbidden City with them as well. The directions on navigating customs, the temporary visa permit process and where to meet were helpful and easy to follow. I had a 10 hour layover in Beijing and joined up with a small group tour for the Mataniyu section of the Great Wall. We spent 4.5 hrs on the tour and it was such a great thing to do instead of staying at the airport. The airport wifi sucks and you can’t access social media or Internet that easily at the airport, so 10 hours would have been long.

When we got to the wall, we all chose to pay the $20 extra to take the chairlift up and down. I’m glad we did, because it meant we had about an hour and a half up on the wall, which was great, so we could walk about 1.5 km and back on it. My photos are pretty rad. If we had hiked up, I think it would have felt rushed up there and we wouldn’t have been able to walk much of it. Herbie takes great photos too. A great guide. Ask him questions about life in China too.
