This was the most exiting destination for us for several reasons. The service by all the staff from the most junior to the most senior was uniform in being of very high class and it was clear that agreat deal of time and effort has been put in ensuring that ALL the staff work in perfect harmony! I cannot remember a time when I have been to a hotel and left with such a high impression.
The waiters seemed to have been trained to anticipate all our needs and seemed to be present and attentive at all times. I heard several other guests make similar comments.
Words do not begin to describe the meeting point between luxury and the rugged "bush" This is the place for those acustomed to luxury, as the rooms testify.

Room Tip: The club rooms though more expensive are great value for those who enjoy space.

We stayed two nights at the Masaai Simba Lodge withing the Massai Mara and it was wonderful: the people, the food, the rooms; every thing was perfect. We recommend it very highly. We were with Fkingssafaris and they did a great job arranging our 12 day safari.

This game camp is an excellent place to stay in the Massai Mara,it is the fourth time in four years that we have stayed here and each time has been a joy. The staff are well trained and are always so friendly and love to help with anything you need and are always so quick and with a lovely smile. The Sarova hotels have a motto, Refreshing African Hospitality and they certainly live up to it is always a pleasure to stay with them. The accommodation is first class and so is the standard of the food ,you would have a hard time to find fault with them,as their standards are so high. It is also in a very good location in the Mara with lots of Game all around and their grounds are beautiful and well maintained, all in all an excellent place to stay, and we will be back again next year

We (mine and my cousin's family) stayed at Sarova Mara on 1st & 2nd of July 2011 before moving to Lake Nakuru to stay at Sarova Lion Hill.

To talk about Sarova Mara, its nothing short of a dream for all of us.....
- Wonderful weather - 12 to 15d at night and about 25d during day (we went from Dubai where the weather is about 40+)
- Wonderful hospitality
- Excellent property / camp
- Very nice food.....

We stayed in tents 74 and 75 (club tents), which is quite a bit away from the lobby. But the tent is simply superb. Each tent is independent with a lot of space between each tents (good for privacy), with wooden floor, a balcony, an interesting looking fan, seperate toilet and bathroom with hot water 24 hrs, a king size bed with a spare bed (good for 4 of us). There are no hard walls as its built like a tent on wooden structure. By evening they will pull down the curtain for privacy and there is a mosquito net on top of your bed, though we hardly found any mossies there. Though I was expecting some lion roars at night, it was some other creature which was screaching all night. But being in a jungle, u dont expect a total silent night, right!

There are no locks for the tent from outside and its very safe to keep your stuff in your tent. The property is right in the middle of the game reserve and is well protected by electric fence around it. There is a veiwing deck at the back of the property, though hardly we found any animals there to view.

They serve morning tea / coffee from 5:30AM for those who go for early morning game drive by 6:30PM. The same is repeated from 3:30PM as well. The food is all buffet style and though I personally didnt much like the options offered, my family enjoyed it pretty much. We had taken a FB (Full Board) package including all meals, but this doesnt include bottled water which you need to buy with every meal.

I had booked my tour package through African Bush Excursions and we are totally satisfied with their arrangements. Our driver / guide, Joseph, was more like a family member to us through out the journey.

We saw almost all animals, except the elusive leopard. Eating lions, mating lions, cheetahs, cubs, elephants, Black Rhino, tens of thousands of wildebeest, zebras, giraffes, hyenas, jackals, Ostriches, Topis, Buffallos, Secretary birds, Vultures, Eagles, thomson gazelle, crocodile, hippos..... its a big jungle out there... We were told that a leopard went inside a bush with a kill, but inspite of waiting for an hour, it didnt come out or climbed the tree. But we saw a dead gazelle on top of a tall tree, which was that night dinner for a leopard, again the leopard missing.

I would love to go back there again with a bigger group......
