I booked with the hotel directly (we just needed a couple of nights at the end of our holiday). It took at least 2 days to respond to any email. They forgot to collect us at the airport and my booking had not been relayed to the reception staff. Hence, the Executive Suite we had booked with an extra bed was not organised, so we were 'upgraded' to the 2-bed cottage. Positives - the beds were large and comfy, the shower was powerful and hot (especially in the 2nd bedroom ensuite). The included breakfast was plentiful. There's lots of dodgy bits, though. Shower taps were hanging loose from the wall, the bathroom door handles were not fixed on properly, some of the windows didn't close properly, there were huge cracks in the floor. Staff were friendly. Our room wasn't cleaned (the cleaner told me the next day it was because she didn't have a key). We won't be staying again.

Pros: the front desk staff were really nice and quite helpful. When we were pretty disappointed with our cottage they immediately changed us to 2 bedrooms in the hotel, which were of a higher standard. Breakfast was fine. Location was quiet.

Cons: our cottage was pretty bad. There was a hole in a bathroom window. Many of the windows didn’t lock. We couldn’t lock the main Door when we were there. There were many ants. The bathrooms were not very clean. It maybe was that we just had bad luck with the cottage as many other guests enjoyed their cottage experience. Who knows.

Also I recommend you use Uber for all transportation. The driver for the place, although he is truly very nice, does cost slot so we only used him for back and forth to the airport.

A wonderful oasis in the Karen area away from the bustling Nairobi business district. Very cozy cottages with more than ok standards. Super service minded staff will look out for your needs. Joseph is the go to guy, serving both restaurant and pool bar. The only set back was overpriced transportation if you ask the hotel reception. Better to go Uber or booking.
