Description: History comes to life at The Exchange Bar, once the site of Nairobi's first Stock Exchange from 1954. In 1922, The Long Bar,the Stanley's precursor to The Exchange Bar, famously took delivery of the first ever order of Tusker beer from Kenya Breweries. The bar retains the feel of a traditional English Gentleman's club while exuding a casual elegance and warm atmosphere. A perfect place to enjoy a single malt whisky or sensational cocktails accompanied with a variety of bar snacks.

Meet Hemingway, Clark Gable and imagine Karen Blixen all coming around for a drink and a chat. With a bit of imagination, or a few glasses of Gin - the long bar does indeed Swift you away to another era of time. It is wonderful. And delighted that the hotel kept its history so well. A must go, must see, must experience, and must have a gin!

Thank Cireakim

Quiet morning in a very comfortable and well appointed bar. Big rugby test on back home (NZ) and staff were more than happy to let me sit and watch it over a couple of cold beers.

My boyfriend and I came in for a drink. The bar is stunning- old fashioned, beautifully maintained. (We were concerned about the cost of a drink- only to be pleasantly surprised, very affordable!). We had some appetizers and drinks and enjoyed our experience! Douglas was amazing, always smiling and checking on us. We have already planned our return to this bar! Try the duck somosas!

This is a stunning bar with tons of history located in a wonderful old property. The bar was the location of the first stock exchange in Kenya.

Beautiful wood and deep leather furniture - could easily sit there for hours reading a book!

Service was friendly and attentive!
