Very nice historical site. Very interesting. Guides very good. Nice grounds. If you have an extra day in Nairobi I would recommend this site.

Little safari available in the city. Children will love to go there! Some animals we see at a distance some others very close to you. We can spend at least 4 hours inside there...

Its kind of sad to see the city continually encroaching on the animals' habitat, but you have a high chance of seeing lion, rhino, and croc, and are pretty much guaranteed giraffe, ostrich, zebra, buffalo, etc.. Park fees are high but the park is small and good for self-driving if you have a 4WD vehicle and aren't an idiot with driving into puddles.

People think that because this park is 30 minutes from town its safe to walk around in. There's a nature walk with a ranger down near the river, and my wife and a friend came within 3 meters of a male lion on the hunt when they wandered off to the bathrooms there.

Buy a map (if they haven't run out) and ask the rangers where lions were last sighted when you go through the gate. Get there EARLY to avoid the line for the atrocious process of buying your tickets.

The national park welcomes you with an animal orphanage located to the left of the entrance to the park. You get to see some of the wildlife in Kenya in cages. After visiting the orphanage, you should consider visiting the snake park located within the same compound with the National Museum of Kenya, situated right in the city.

To view the wild animals in their natural habitat, you can take a bus ride into the park aboard one of the scheduled Kenya Wildlife Services bus rides. You pay for the bus ride at the entrance. You can also drive yourself if you are familiar with the tracks in the wild. Be prepared to spend two to three hours in the bush. There also some restaurants at the entrance where you can enjoy sumptuous meals before or after viewing the animals. To stretch a little, take a walk down the suspended nature walk where you also get to see some more animals and a bushy wild. There is ample parking space.

After visiting Masai Mara, Nairobi National Park disappointed us. Entry Fees for Non-residents are also very high and not worth for such a park. Limited numbers of Animals and activities.
