We visited the mummification museum this morning and it was very quiet. Do not be conned into getting a taxi from Luxor Temple as it is a five minute walk. Cost 80 EYP each to get in and we paid 50 EYP to take photos. If you are not bothered about taking photographs then don’t spend the money. It was an interesting visit to see how it all took place and the afterlife. Small museum but worth a visit.

Tiny place by with some really interesting artifacts and amazing well preserved mummies, both animal and human. Definitely recommend stopping in

This is a very small museum with only a few exhibits. We had walked from our hotel which was about 25mins away but only spent about 20 mins in the museum. As with all museums in Egypt they are very dimly lit.

I was a bit shocked when I entered as I was looking for an extension to the building but there was none. Its a very small space. But it does have some interesting displays. The single mummy is probably worth he price of admission (100LE) and an additional 50Le to use a camera. I spent a pleasant half hour in there.

Although this museum is not big and visitors may have great expectations about it, the place does indeed fulfiil its purpuse.
If tourists want to get to know what the mummification process used to be like, this is definetely the place to visit. The tour around the museum is self-guided and it won't take more than 40 minutes, still really interesting and useful.

A recommended place to tour around.
