Nobles tombs...I did not visit due to limited time but it is a must visit attraction. At night from the other bank of the Nile you can see the beautiful lights come from it.

On the western bank of Nile in Aswan is located hill with a Kubbet on the top.You can cross the river with "faluca" for a reasonable price and then pay 50 LE for entrance to tombs on middle of hill. The tombs are still exploring and you can see there also the christians symbols.
Reaching top of hill you can see Nile on south up to old dam with numerous islands and on north villages on both side of river, on west is view on desert.

We were on a Nile cruise and decided to hire a sail boat across the Nile to see the tombs on a free afternoon. It was 40 LE per adult for entry to the tombs and my partner and I were the only tourist at the time so were free to explore 4 tombs. Some amazing paintings and hieroglyphs and we were able to crawl in a burial chamber. Was refreshing after all the organised tours.

There were so many tombs to visit that we spent hours there. Mekhu and his son, Sabni I, Sarenput II are the main ones but there are many more in this line of tombs. The views are good too.

Do some research before you visit these tombs of the nobles on the west bank. You will gain so much more from your visit, Just be aware that its hard going up the sand covered steps to the tombs.
