“you have to do it !”
Reviewed 5 March 2012

Having visited Egypt many times, this was my first visit to the pyramids
the massive downside is the number of hawkers which is annoying but you have to understand why they do it, this didnt sway from an otherwise great experience however, even if your a little claustrophobic, try and take the plunge.
one off the bucket list !

“Well you just have to go”
Reviewed 2 March 2012

If you’re reading reviews for a trip to Cairo you will of course be going to the Gizeh plateau. Even with tourism way down there are touts galore trying to sell you junk, get you on their dilapidated Camels/Horses or show you special things to photograph. A combination of ignoring them, firm “la shokran"'s and shadowing more gullible tour groups should shake the worst of them off.
The main entrance is right in front of the Great Pyramid and the focus of the worst hassling. There is no reason to spend long here; have a quick look at the Pyramid up close, by all means go inside or at least climb as far as you are allowed to the tourist entrance and then move on to the viewpoints further up the plateau from where you can see all of the main pyramids. The vendors are fewer, the camel rides cheaper and on better looking animals and the views better.

“Pyramids, Sphinx & all the rest”
Reviewed 27 February 2012

Only original seven wonders of the world left!
Has to be seen.
Considering it to have been from Old Kingdom, to have engineered it & logistically transported all that way is truly a wonder!
