This is an excellent place to stay. I was able to make my reservations quickly and without any fuss. It is close to major transportation and the area is very energetic. The accommodations are ample and clean. The staff is par excellence! Two major palaces are within walking distance. Several major universities are just around the corner. There are movies theaters, banks and excellent eateries nearby. Try the coffee shop downstairs. It is a great place to relax your tired feet. Try the food from the nearby street vendors. It will have your taste buds watering. I would recommend taking the bus and getting lost. You will see more of Seoul this way and discover how friendly and helpful the locals are. On my next trip to Seoul, this is where I will stay, again. Enjoy!

Stayed here during my trip to Seoul with my sister. Inside is within 10 minutes walking distance to the nearest station (HyeHwa Station). Its location within a university area.. so lots of cheap street food and lots of shops with good deals!

We stayed in the 6-bed dorm for 2 nights, for 16,000 won per person, per night. this is a really good deal, I didn't think I could find a dorm bed for this price in Seoul! Check INSIDE's website. The photos are actual representations of what the room and facilities look like. (so don't worry!) Rooms are clean, beds are comfortable.

The showers and toilets are also clean. Hot showers. There's a washing machine and washing powder (that can be used, for FREE!!) Dryer for use at a cost, if I remember correctly. They provide small towels for use for free! If you need bigger towels, can pay a small fee.

There's also.. free WIFI! There are two computers in the living room which can be used. There's a giant teddy bear that guards the living room.

The counter staff are very friendly. They work on shifts, and helped us with directions and suggestions of where to go.

I really liked this place and would go back!

This place was a fantastic find! I came here the weekend of Chuseok and chose it because it was the only place that had a single ensuite room for all four nights. I ended up in a deluxe but didn't get a chance to really take advantage of the little kitchenette other than to store my sode in the fridge. My room came with a twin bed, ensuite bathroom (the shower was a bit awkward being over the sink and toilet too), a computer in the room that also doubled as the tv with fairly decent reception. There is free wifi abundant through the building. My room was located in a different building than the office, but very easy and close by. The room wasn't the most comfortable, but I've found the mattresses in Korea to be much harder than I'm used to so I don't really feel that's an error on their part. The location was great as there are many things to do and see in a walking distance plus about a 10 min walk to the metro station (Seoul has an amazing metro system!).

The best thing about Backpackers Inside was the service. Both Minyeong (the owner) and Aud, a French intern, were so amazing and nice. They gave great advice about what to see and do. The coolest thing was that since it was the Chuseok holiday and they were ending the lease on 1 of the three buildings, Minyeong hosted us for a real Korean BBQ that he grilled himself. It was fantastic! I would definitely recommend this place for friends, couples and a fellow solo traveler like myself.

Room tip: The room I stayed at was in the building a street away. I found it to be pretty quiet. There were only maybe about 5 or 6 rooms there.

The staff was amazing at Backpackers Inside. They sent very detailed and helpful information with directions to their hostel as well as some nearby activities. At check-in, I got a very nice map of the city and details about some of the good, but inexpensive restaurants and grocery stores on their street. The rooms and the whole hostel was clean and welcoming. It was nice that I could come and go at any time of the day and night and I felt very safe, even as a female travelling alone. When I checked out, it was raining and the owner even gave me a rain poncho for free. It was so sweet and shows they really care. I would definitely recommend this place!

I'll rattle off a few points.
Very comfy, nice atmosphere, helpful english speaking staff and a nearby metro station(a 5 minute walk). The rooms are clean, fast internet, surrounding area has a nice selection of stores and restaurants. The staff are also quite willing to go out at night and show you around and have a good time.
