Good recommandations convinced me to go there but I'm a bit disapointed about this restaurant. The food took a long time to arrive. I can compare quality with other places, and I have tried better dishes than there. Prices are ok and place is quiet spacious, were cold inside.

have you ever tasted Georgian national dishes? This is the place where u can have a very delicious khachapuri, khinkali, qababi and other meals. Because of much people you have to wait a bit more, but that's not a problem. While waiting you can enjoy with a friendly atmosphere and Georgian music. every weekends I go there and really having a brilliant time.

We ate here on our first evening in Tbilisi and chose based it on the Lonely Planet recommendation. From the outside it doesn't look like a restaurant and had we not had the address we probably would have missed it completely.

There was no nonsmoking area and no baby chairs so not the ideal place to bring an 11 month old. However, it was getting late and we were quite hungry so we decided to stick around.

Service was a little haphazard and the serving staff were run off their feet. The food took a long time to arrive but it was worth waiting for. We especially liked the Khachapuri, a Georgian speciality of doughy bread cooked with cheese, and Khinkali, a type of meat dumpling. The Khachapuri was a meal in itself. The prices were good too, certainly by European standards.

There are other branches of this restaurant in Tbilisi and over in Batumi on the Black Sea. Overall, we were happy with the food here - it's a good place to try Georgian food.

You may be able to enjoy some decent food there, but at your own risk!
(And if you're prepared to wait long time...)

Went there for dinner and asked for the most popular dishes on the list, such as khinkali and lamb. The annoyed waiter just answered at every request that it wold take too long to prepare them.
At the end we gave up and said we would wait, no matter how long. So he changed his mind and told us that what we wanted had run out - "why don't you just order a salad?".

Eventually we had a pork dish suggested by the waiter that came late and was the saddest dish I've ever had in Georgia.
When we asked for vegetables as a side we got a raw bunch of fresh and unwashed parsley...
We tried to politely complain and the only rough answer we got in our face was "people eat it!"

Well before closing time we and the other few clients were rushed out by the staff...

Wine was alright, but that's not enough to gain a second star in this review.

It's not worth a visit, believe it, especially when you can find so many better places less than 100 meters away.

I only visit Shemoikhede Genaysvale" when I'm really hungry, because their khinkali is maybe one of the best in town
. But one must be very patient because the service is awful, waitresses are rood and unpolite. One time we ordered 2portions of fries and one Lobiani, waitress came after about 30minutes with two Lobiani and NO fries.
