The Sein Yaung Chi Pagoda is surrounded in glass with green backing giving the appearance of glittering green. It is a small pagoda with the usual external worships such a Bodhi tree and four large Buddhas inside in the four directions of entrances. Most interesting is the walls all around the inside lined with many Buddhas and spiritual icons. Be respectful of those worshipping and Nuns living in the adjorning building as they are very welcoming and happy for you look around (but dress appropiately). There are no toilet facilities on site and the tiles are slippery in the rain so be careful. We visited with my 72 year old mother and she found it one of the most interesting pagodas of her two week visit.

Not so far from Shwedagon Pagoda. Quiet and beautiful inside, perfect place to take a rest after a long walk in daytime.

This pagoda is located on Shwedagon Pagoda Road so a visit can be made on the way to Shwedagon Pagoda. Also known as the Diamond Reflections Pagoda, the green tiles covering the pagoda reflect the sunlight and make it shine. The tiled and mirrored alcove that runs along its side and rear are home to an assortment of deities. A quiet and peaceful temple receiving few visitors, it is a nice place to sit and meditate for awhile.

This is quite a nice little Pagoda, with it's mirrored exterior & the interior covered in tiny Buddhas. It's close to Shwedagon Pagoda so worth popping in. It doesn't take up much time, maybe 20 minutes, but it's quite different to other pagodas.

One of the other pagodas recommended by the staff at the hotel we stayed. Enjoyed an hour or two looking around :)
