This was a fantastic tour to do. JJ was extremely happy and friendly and he took us to some great places that you would not get to see or experience as a solo traveller. We would highly recommend taking this tour.

My husband and I did a Full day tour which was absolutely wonderful. The Pepeyo Cultural Village was amazing, we really enjoyed the show they put on, and getting up to dance with them was heaps of fun :) The Blue Lagoon was so beautiful, the water so clean and clear, we had a wonderful swim and fun swinging on the rope! The buffet lunch was delicious and hearty. It was really interesting seeing all the WW2 area, I had no idea so many relics would've been left behind, tanks etc, rusted sitting there with yrs of history behind them. We finished off the day with a trip to a kava bar, at my request, it was a great ending to a fabulous day. Our guide JJ was fantastic, really knowledgeable of the area and very informative. I highly recommend this tour.

Just came back from Port Villa off a P&O Cruise. The blue lagoon is something you have to see. The only negative was the hidden $5 cost to swim in it. I can't comment against J.J Maples Tours as we did our own thing and haggled a local down to take us to it direct from CBD :)

The only good point of this tour : the couple is nice. Otherwise it's way to expensive for what it is (and that's one of the cheapest ...). If I would know road were in good shape, I would have rent a car by my own and would have done way more stuff.
To summarize what we have done :
Blue pool for 1 hour
A 5min dance before lunch in a fake custom village (nothing to compare with what you can expect in Tanna)
Drink an instant coffee at the beach of the show Survivor (who cares).
The tanna factory was closed. The woman acted like she didn't know it was close on a sunday (sorry you acting bad my dear).
Not a single stop for 2 min to take pictures like others company can do.
Most of the comment was : so here you can see a resort, here a supermarket own by chinese, here a bank... i didn't learn that much on that day.

Our guides Violet and Eddie were really friendly and helpful. The trip itself is definitely worth taking if you want to get to know Vanuatu and it's culture more. We went to Blue Lagoon where we also got some refreshments, then to the beautiful beach where we had local food for lunch and we listened to the local band. We saw some USA relics and 'survivor' beach where we had a coffee. Violet bought us also coconuts to drink :) Our guides were really nice company. Only minus is that we didn't go to Cultural Village because it was Sunday (no one told us before the trip that its closed on Sunday). We also didn't go to Coke Bottle Museum. Also we were told that we're going to stop at coffee factory Tanna Coffe but we didn't don;t know why. But the trip is definitely worth the money. I'd really recommend it!
