It is a typical guest house and very comfortable. I was without my loved one on this trip and the two bedroom unit was perhaps too spacious for one person. I did however manage to get some sleep despite the roosters alarm clock at all hours of the night early morning. I would recommend this place for anyone who is looking for close proximity to the CBD...a 2 minute walk....also the wharf and a good swimming hole nearby. Neil and Rupina are very nice people and will go out of their way to stay out of your way or to engage depending on our demeanour. Good value if you want to feel the atmosphere of the island.

Room Tip: Yes the kitchen is dated and needs renovation...would recommend you take some food supplies with you...

We were met at the Airport by Neal. Great shuttle service to Kololis. There is not alot of shopping on the Island so dont go expecting lots of shops. Exactly what we wanted. The swimming, snockelling is fantastic & kololis is just along the road from a beautiful place to swim & snockel. 2 minutue walk. Bliss sitting in a wonderful coral encircled pool. We were in the Guesthouse but were upgraded to the two bedroom unit as they had guest staying on extra weeks. The unit had everything wee need. It is cheap enough to eat out every night if thats what you want, as we did, even though there is a full kitchen & big fridge/freezer. Only negitive thind was the roooster crowing at 3-4 am, but you get used to it after a couple of days. If you want a relaxing holiday with not alot too do this is it. There is heaps of walks to rock pools etc as well. MUST DO is Keith The Commodores Sightseeing Tour. This page is not big enough to tell all the wonderful things to do. Loved it, will definitely be back. Thanks Neal & Rupina.

Neil meet us at the airport and for the next week was there for us to help or just tell us what it was like to live in Niue. We were upgraded to one of his cottages which are great. Everything that one needs is in them, including the geckos. Rupina, Neils wife, has made & printed out the bedspreads & pillow sheets there at Kololis. They are stunning!! Kololis even has it own little car that the guests can hire on a day to day system. The roasters are just part of Niue. Sonja and I will be back next year for 2 weeks & will stay at Kololis.

Kololi's was such a good stay for what we paid - the roosters were very loud, as all the other reviews have stated, but I am fairly sure that would be a Niue-wide problem. We booked a twin single room and were given an enormous room with a queen sized bed and a single, a little patio with its own clothes line, big sliding doors and a fan. We were so pleased! Neil picked us up at the airport, and although he wasn't chatty, he was pleasant and I'm sure he and his wife would be happy to help with any problems if they arose. Sheets were changed during our stay which we did not expect, and we were able to get fresh towels straight from the linen cupboard. The kitchen was large and functional, and the shared spaces and the lawn were well maintained and great for interacting with other guests.

The location is unbeatable: we only rented a car two days out of seven and could still easily access most things on the west of the island by bicycle due to the central location.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Kololi's Guest House.
