we saw this on trip advisor and decided to try while our ship docked in Noumea
Not a traditional french menu but modern french which we really enjoyed about $110 for 4 people-no alcohol.they do have a 2 course and 3 course offer
Noumea is quite charming when you get away from the port side and walk up and around the streets

Many restaurants in Noumea seem to think that bistro food is what people want. However, as we wanted to try French style food it was difficult to find until we came here. Working through the menu, each course was delicious. Sauces and ingredients were excellent and varied and the tastes were wonderfully French. Portion sizes were good and the price of the food was reasonable which was surprising considering what some restaurants in Noumea charged for poorer quality food. Congratulations to the Chefs and the waiting team. We enjoyed our meal very much.

This is a smallish, somewhat unpretentious restaurant on Rue Du Dr Guegan in the Latin Quarter of Nouméa. It's very popular with the local lunch time crowd and with good reason. It serves both light and traditional French food with a South Seas twist. The food is very reasonably priced for Nouméa and the portions are quite generous. The drinks are priced within a moderate range, again for Nouméa - ie they aren't cheap.

It has a limited a la carte menu supplemented by a couple of seasonal choices for Entrees, Mains and Desserts which change weekly. They even have an English language menu for the non-French speaking diners, but the staff's proficiency in English is somewhat limited. The menus comprise some French classics adapted to locally available ingredients. All were very flavoursome and served with a little Gallic flair. The food is the focus as might be expected of a French Restaurant.

To sum up, very good to excellent French food at a reasonable price. As one of our group commented: "you won't leave hungry or disappointed!" It is one of the best meals I've had in Nouméa. Highly recommended but, due to the popularity of the restaurant with the locals, a booking is recommended. It has a Facebook site on which bookings can be made.

I read good reviews before about this place and without even looking for it came across the little side street this place is in - not far from the Museum of New Caledonia. So, if you take a wonder through town starting at the main square, to the cathedral and then towards the museum of New Caledonia and the markets and then over the Latin Quarter, this place is a great spot to stop for lunch and get your vitality back before the steep climb to the Latin Quarter. The have nice friends baguettes and yummy salads, very reasonably priced. Lovely to sit on the terrace and watch the quaint world of Noumea pass by.

We stumbled upon this restaurant while exploring the Latin quarter. Friendly service and absolutely delicious food! One of our best meals in Noumea!!! We had the option of a set 2 or 3 course lunch which was a great idea and very reasonably priced for Noumea. The dessert was amazing and I would go again just for that. Highly recommend!
