We spent a few days in this hotel, which is beautifully decorated with a lot of character. We really enjoyed this as well as how helpful and friendly most of the staff is. The hotel is super clean and our two-story room was really cool. It really felt like an apartment. The hotel always has hot water. The shower was really great and it also has heating, which is really helpful in a cold city like Bogotá. It was also located in what looks like a safe street. Way better than the Candelaria area, which looks sketchy at night. The downside was the internet connection which sucked. We had a lot of problems with that. Breakfast wasn't great either and we had two beds together simulating a king size bed. The mattresses were way too hard and we could feel the crack where the two beds met. They should definitely add a mattress topper to solve this problem. Also, you can really hear everything from your room. Otherwise it's a nice hotel.

This charming hotel is well located, not far from the historical center in a safe and quite section of the city. The room are big and clean. Price is OK too. Breakfast ok. Try to have a room not on the avenue, for example 1 or 4

Away from the hustle and bustle yet close to great restaurants and stores, this hotel had everything I was looking for: cleanliness, quiet, privacy, attentive staff. Rooms are comfortable and done in a traditional style. Has two nice patios where you can eat breakfast or you can stay inside in a small dining room that overlooks one of the patios. Will stay here again when in Bogota.

We chose this hotel because of its stellar ratings on Trip Advisor; however, although the staff was exceptionally kind and obliging and the rooms were clean, the rooms looked shabby and somewhat in disrepair. We requested a change from our first room because the bed was too hard and a floor board (under carpet) was loose and seemed unsafe. The second room had a lamp that broke upon our simply turning it on, but a staff member soon replaced it. The breakfasts were fine, and we ate them in a lovely sun-filled room that looked to have been a restaurant at one time. Although there was a bar, we were told it was no longer in operation. I wondered if this hotel was phasing out of business. On a more positive note, we liked the location - a quick and cheap cab ride to the historic center as well as to more outlying sites. And of course, we were very pleased with the attentive staff. However, on our almost 3 week tour of Colombia, we stayed in other 3 star hotels in Cartagena and Medellin - all less expensive and in better condition than this one.
