We chose this hotel for its location & because we wanted comfort in what we thought would be a crazy city! It was exactly what we were looking for. Modern, clean, with friendly efficient staff.
(Btw La Paz was way better than we expected it to be!)

The location is great, around 20 minutes walk from the markets & Plaza San Francisco.

The hotel itself is very clean & comfortable & the staff at Reception are wonderful - friendly, helpful & with good English (which helps when your Spanish is limited!). Our room & bathroom were spacious & we loved the thermostatically controlled underfloor heating!

Some other reviewers have mentioned the secondary school over the road: yes you can sometimes hear excited children across the street, but no big deal.

TIP: DON'T ORDER A TAXI TO LEAVE THE HOTEL BETWEEN 19:15 & 20:00 - the road outside the hotel is a small one & gets clogged up the school buses!

Breakfast buffet is pretty comprehensive - one of the best we've come across in South America, with eggs cooked to order. Only improvement would be a heavier duty toaster - we saw 2 break in the space of 6 days.

In the afternoon & evening there's a spa & indoor pool available on the ground level - a real treat! Very clean & a reasonable sized pool which you could actually exercise in.

The bar on the top floor has wonderful views over La a Paz at night. Drinks are a bit pricey by Bolivian standards.

On the 1st floor, the café serves snacks & light meals. These were ok, but again a bit pricey by local standards & the wine prices are ridiculously high!

We tried out the a la carte resto one night. The food was delicious (eg llama steak with quinoa) much better than in the café & not much more expensive.however, this resto is lacking in atmosphere because no one seems to eat in it. A shame.

The Europa is adequate but no charm. There is nothing particularly European or Bolivian about it. But the location is good for walking, the rooms are clean, and the suites are nice and spacious. But being close to everything means that there is a lot of noise no matter how high up the room.

A suite on the 11th floor with a balcony overlooking the city towards El Alto. Spacious room with efficient working table. Wifi is available, which makes communications with home and office easy.
The Euro Bistro is the place for having breakfast and lunch. Besides it is a meeting place for business people.
It is a pity that the Meeting Point (Punto de Encuentro) is closed during several hours, which makes brief contacts with a cup of Mate a bit uneasy. The guests still need to discover the Euro Lounge at the roof top, where you have a spectacular view over the city.
The Finn Club with pool, sauna, etc. is certainly worth while.

This hotel is 1 block back from the Main Street which was busy and noisy and could be heard from our room. Our room was comfortable and clean and would be a good 3 * by Australian standards. Our buffet breakfast was OK with a fair selection. Staff were friendly and cooperative.

Room Tip: Ask for a room that doesn't face the Main Street.

Stayed for 2 nights which was ok...by no means a 4/5 star hotel but ok..clean and neat.Restaurant was expensive but the food was good, the head waiter recommend wines which we enjoyed and his service was good..there were no other customers though...Breakfast was served in the Café and lacked variety..also food was displayed haphazard..so that one had the fruit next to the cold meats on the same display...strange...Had some problems in the business centre with the computers..guy came and fixed it for me.. there is no printer in the business centre and I had to print our tickets to the front desk printer...had to get the computer guy down again as I did not know which printer to chose( I cannot understand/read Spanish)!!Usually all over Peru,Chile as well as other places in Bolivia, the front desk would confirm out flights and print the boarding passes..these frontdesk guys were not allowed to go on the internet!!So when payment time came and I wanted to pay by credit card, they had to use the old paper zipzap machine...lol..have not seen such a machine in yeeeaars!Hotel is nice and centrally located, but in a quiet street just off the main road, also near tourist souvernir shopping area, restaurants and ATM's.

Dear guest,
Thank you for taking the time to write your feedback on TripAdvisor. We have paid close attention to all your comments and will implement some changes for the future.
First, we are glad you enjoyed the food in one of our three restaurants and we are sorry you found the prices a little high, but we do offer lower price options in the other restaurants, that way we ensure to have an option for all needs and guests.
Regarding your boarding pass, we will install a printer on the business center and make sure we provide the English option, as well as assistance from our staff if needed.
Finally, regarding the credit card, it does sound funny that we had to use the paper method to charge your card, but that has nothing to do with the internet connection, it’s a procedure set by the credit card company (American Express), however, we do use modern methods with other credit cards.
Thank you again for all the comments we will work on this issues to make sure things run smoothly at our property.
Best regards,
