Description: Beirut's most lively cafe is chic, casual and cosmopolitan with a sidewalk location on the hotel's ground floor and Weygand Street. It attracts the great and good of Beirut, from ladies who lunch to the city's powerbrokers, as well as those who travel to Lebanon to be inspired by its energy. A bright, brasserie-style neighbourhood favourite, Gordon's Cafe serves breakfast from 8am then non-stop dining, including salads, burgers and wood-fired pizzas until late.

the sliders were good, the gazpacho soup was good, the fish and chips were good, the makhani chicken was quite bland, the chicken salad was okay, the star was the carrot cake for dessert. Very moist and flavourful!

Amazing downtown location. Go there for some quick coffee, a dessert or a full on meal. I would recommend have their pizzas and finish with some pain perdu. Enjoy!!

Gordon's has a strong blend of good location, decent menu and polite service. There are certain things that Gordon's does better than anyone else - carrot cake being a great example. Other cakes are equally delicious but really try the carrot cake - it has a perfect moistness and balance of sweetness. They do Arabic coffee, which is a plus always, and have a good selection of teas. It's the only cafe in Beirut where I will order a burger and know I am getting quality, tender meat. I think the quality/price ratio is excellent here. If in doubt where to go, go to Gordon's.
