Its a very nice and relaxing place that was realy enjoyable . Food was great and the waiters greeted us in a very warm way . The only problem is that we sat outside and the waiters kind of stayed indoors... We had a hard time to get their attention... But nothing serious... A nice place to hang out

Dear Gou team,
I also had the same "joe" experience. I reviewed your below response to Joe and it's good to see that customers' comments are taken into consideration. However, i have always wondered how come restaurants in Lebanon never offer a discount or a free meal to dissatisfied customers, especially when the flaw is clearly the restaurant's. This is a common practice in the US and Europe.
However in Lebanon, and in In a best case scenario, restaurants tend to apologize from dissatisfied customer (and i must say they do it profoundly... Lebanese are quite good in communication) or in a best case we end up with a complimentary cake (typically a left over or items with low turnover or super high fat/calory-levels that don't suit today's eating habits).
Therefore, I had hoped to see in your response to Joe a discount or free meal offer.

PS: the very good rating that I gave is for the food quality of Gou.

Best regards
Ziad

Dear Ziad,

With the same spirit we answered Joe, we always appreciate receiving feedback from our guests, this is the only way we can improve and correct our mistakes.

Can you please tell us about the timing of your visit, when you came and no one greeted you. Since it shouldn't have happened again after Joe's review.

As for the gifts, we didn't suggest any free dessert or other things to Joe in order to avoid remarks and thoughts like the ones you had when you were offered an item that didn't answer your unsatisfaction expectations.

But since we would like that all our guests feel good about GOU, please introduce yourself when you visit us again so we would make it our mission to offer you what would make you forget your unpleasant experience.

Hope to see you again happy with our service and delighted with our food.

If you like waiting for 10 minutes alone in a small restaurant without any waiter greeting you, this is the right place.
